Do you know something cool about DL???

"It all started with a mouse."

1313 S. Harbor Dr.

1=A 2=B 3=C....13=M

13 13 = M M

Mickey Mouse.

If it were 0303, it would look like Mickey heads.

oh...and I like that there is fake gum on the streets, which are sensors for the parades. I looked but I couldn't find any.:confused3

I just left dl and I didn't see any either :( maybe its something they used to do.

And its true about the address! That's why they choose it.

Some other cool facts: walts face is the broken face in haunted mansion and malefecent is the voice of the crystal ball.
There are 13 flags hung in frontier land.
Walts baby picture can be found in the baby center and his crest on the castle.

where did you hear this? The street have always seemed to be spotless to me. At least in the morning.

Also the technology they use has been around for a long time. It can be hidden pretty well no need to be on the surface.

I am not talking about the address it self. I know it is 1313. Rather regarding the address's meaning to which you were referring. That is the source to which I am speaking of. I thought my question was obvious, but apparently not so much.

I found this regarding the reason for picking 1313 as Disneyland's address. I don't know how reliable the source is but it matches the reason stated above as posted by skiingfast.

Down at the bottom under "Other Fun Facts"

I also found this on Micechat. It seems to be published in a book, so I would certainly hope that the author did thorough research before publishing "fact" (this site also has a ton of other fun facts about Disneyland - kind of interesting!)

I'd always heard that as well. Now one thing I found interesting on the site you shared was the "free soda". Although they do receive soda syrup from Coca Cola, I've heard they pay $2 for the cups.

I don't know about $2 for the cups. But I once was able to work on a deal with a soft drink distributor. While charge very low for the syrup, we paid about 250% mark up on the cups. Did the same for coffee. But the reason to do this, because paying full price on the syrup and buying our own cups elsewhere would of been cheaper, is they provide service and equipment. Vending machines for the campus, soda fountains, coffee makers, and thier maintnance for free. This is standard practice almost everywhere. So if Disney gets the syrup for free it's really not a big deal, Coke is still making profit overall.

I have read about the fake gum on this website a few times. I'll try to find the links. They are usually under Disneyland secrets.

"As one person already said, you can't purchase gum anywhere in Disneyland, but did you ever notice all of the gum on the ground. If you look very closely, you will notice that some of the "gum" on the ground from Main Street to the Small World is actually fake! Magnetic sensors that look like gum on the street were actually placed there to tell when parade floats enter and exit specific "zones" along the parade route."

This was from a thread of DL secrets on this website.

But that is why disney is very prominent about selling their own cups.

It will never be complete, Walt left it so that future generations could add to his imagination.
