It finally happened...with all the freaking reality shows they have done in the past several years, we finally know someone featured on a reality show. Well, my husband is friends with him. His name is Tim Brown and he is on a show called "Madhouse" on the History Channel. It's about racing at Bowman-Gray in Winston Salem. Tim is a really good driver and even tested for NASCAR a few years ago, but didn't get a ride.
When are they gonna run out of reality show ideas? It's ridiculous. Shows about exterminators, pawn shops, parking violations, hair salons, dog groomers, hoarders, little people, quintuplets, teen pregnancy....OMG. Eventually, I will be in a reality show for something...although I'm not sure what. They'll find something.

I went to school with a girl who was on jenny jones. I had just had my son, was sitting on the couch nursing and could not reach the remote, I sat through 20 minutes of that at least. I kept going "that looks like XX" then they put down her name (first) and age. Yep that was her. I was talking with my cousin about it, seems the guy worked at the high school, I used to go there and she did at the time.

(It was a guy who was cheating on his girlfriend-s. She was one of three. I think she was the only one who did not know about the others.)

Not that I know her personally, but someone here on the Dis, Kelly (from PA) has appeared on both "What Not to Wear" and another show about buying your first home (I don't remember the name of the show).

Oh, yeah. I remember her. We all made a point to watch it to see what Disney clothing they made her throw out :rotfl: I enjoyed reading her thread about being on the show.

I had a friend on the Celebrity Apprentice last year and several people on The Real Housewives of Atlanta...duh!

I'd LOVE to be one myself! :woohoo:

Two of my kids' teachers have been on reality shows.

The first one was the hot 7th grade World Geo teacher. She and her twin sister, in skimpy bikinis, were on Fear Factor. World Geo was much more interesting for those 7th grade boys after it aired. Well, if anybody could pay attention anymore.

Then one of the high school science teachers was on American Gladiator.

Also, DS graduated with Nicole Fox, the last winner of America's top model. She was in several of his classes. It is not a huge, huge high school, so everybody knows pretty much everybody. He dug out his yearbook and showed us how she looked in high school. Said she never looked the way she did on America's Top Model :happytv:

How could I have forgotten, Ace Young's (Idol) parents live about 2 blocks away and he went to the local high school. I don't know him, but plenty of my friends do. The Young boys have been spotted numerous times in the local Safeway.

There is also somebody my kids know that was on Big Brother. Oops, make that Real World, Denver.

I must be living in Reality Show mecca.

Our oldest son works in post-production television editing and he's worked on several reality shows; hasn't been on any though.

I knew a girl who was on Maury for being one of those problem children. Let me tell you, she's maybe 18 or 19 now (she was 13 when she was on) and she is a HORRIBLE human being and has no good qualities.

Was the girl who was on "What not to Wear" the one who had a lot of tinkerbell gear and fun socks?

The lady that tought my aerobics class was on Survivor-- Leslie Nease.

My cousin was on Tommy Hillfiger's reality show - she was the first one eliminated lol (but she's making a name for herself as a stylist - she was working at Fashion Week last month!) Oh and I saw my friend on Idol for a split second during the auditions.

ETA: I know someone who was on A Baby Story a few years ago, too!

A friend of ours from years ago (we don't see each other anymore-nothing bad, just lives change and move in different directions) brother was on an episode of Jerry Springer. Does that count? :lmao:

My daughter is friends with a young lady whose family was on wife swap... It did not end well.

My assistant was home sick from work one day and was watching a UK talk show on TV (it is kind of like the Steve Wilko's show and Maury Povich mixed together.) Anyway her husbands sister and her nephew appeared on it. The tag line for their segment was that the woman wanted her son to get out of a gang. She said her name was Aisha Asahn (her real name is Jane Clark!) and her nephew was definately not in a gang! She recorded it and made her husband watch it when he got in from work! Very strange!

On the Fuel Channel-a cable channel way up in the 100's,
James Stewart new reality show started last evening called
"Bubba".
My son has been racing with him for years on the National Circuit.
After last nite-my ds, said,
"wow, the other racers won't be talking to him anymore."

I know several people who think they are on a reality show and that there must be hidden cameras following them. :sad2: Such drama queens! :p

One of my friends from the Bay Area is best friends with a Real World-er and by association, is now friends with a lot of the Road Rules and Real World-ers.
