I just thought it might be interesting to know if anyone else knew a famous person that once worked at Disney, especially as one of the disney characters.

The only two I know is Brittney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Al????? were once part of I think the Mickey Mouse club?

Well, I met Tyler who works at Pop Century and I got my picture with him and an autograph.

He is also known as Chip n Dale express over there on that resorts board.

Go check out the Pop Century resorts boards. His picture is there.

How true that is. He has soooooooooooo much info and he works at I'm a little jealous :smooth: But I'll get over it!!!!!

Kerri Russell from the TV series Felicity and JC Chasez from N'Sync were also on the Mickey Mouse Club.

Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick from N'Sync worked at Universal in Orlando (not Disney, but still local celebrites)

Robin Williams also has been rumored to have spent some time at the Jungle Cruise.

A former Miss America was Ariel, I believe. Leanza Coronet (sp?) if I remember my WDW Explorer software audio correctly.

Joey Fatone used to do parades at MK. Kevin Richardson (from Backstreet boys) used to work at MGM Entertainment. Wayne Brady used to work at MK Entertainment. Justin, Christina, Brittney, JC and Keri didn't actually work for the theme parks. They were members of the Mickey Mouse Club that filmed at MGM.

Wayne Brady tells a funny story about when he was Tigger in the old MK parade. He says it was so hot one summer day and he was a little overzealous in his bouncing that he actually PASSED OUT during the parade. He apologized to all the children who thought Tigger died that day.

I've read a number of times and I believe some of the sources were Disney itself that Kevin Costner was a Jungle Cruise Skipper at Disneyland.

Actually, it was Robin Williams who was a Jungle Cruise Skipper. Here's a list:

Wayne Brady – worked at WDW in Parades
Richard Carpenter – played ragtime piano at Coke Corner at DL
Leanza Cornett (Miss America 1993) – played Little Mermaid in “Voyage of the Little Mermaid”
Kevin Costner – he actually never worked at Disneyland, but he met his first wife there (she was playing Snow White)
Teri Garr – Statue of Liberty in Show Me America parade at DL
Lee Greenwood – Played saxophone at Disneyland in his teens
Katherine Harris (FL Sec of State) – pageant hostess WDW
Joanna Kerns – played the Blue Fairy in MSEP at DL
Steve Martin – worked at the Magic Shop at DL
Osmond Brothers – sang Barber Shop on Main Street at DL (not an official “job,” but they were discovered and signed to a Disney contract for future work)
Patrick Swayze – dancer in Disney on Parade at DL
Robin Williams – Jungle Cruise skipper at DL
Ron Ziegler (Richard Nixon’s press secretary) – worked at DL; no specific job given

Wow, you'd never know that from searching the internet. I found 15 sites that post (without confirmation) that Kevin Costner was a skipper, and only 3 sites that post (without confirmation) that Robin Williams was a skipper. One site posts that they both worked as skippers in the 60ties. And a couple of sites post that Steve Martin was a skipper along with Williams. One site had a guy posting that he was working as a skipper when he was told (by persons unknown) that Costner once worked as a skipper. On the other hand a different site posted a guy stating that he also was a skipper and that according to the handbook given to Jungle Cruise Skippers, both Robin Williams and Steve Martin were past skippers. Just goes to show that the internet must be taken with a grain of salt... about the size of a salt lick.

I don't know anyone famous that ever worked at WDW or DL, but a few girls from my Alma Mater went down there for the college experience thing during the summer and LOVED it!!! They had tales of all kinds of famous people they met there. I've never seen ANYONE famous there (except Mickey and Friends!!).

P.S. Isn't the Tag Fairy famous??? Maybe that's why I haven't gotten tagged yet--I'm one of the "little people" she had to step on to get to her elevated position!!!!! But, no anger here--I'm clappin' and STILL believin'!!!!!!!!

Wesley Snipes? Don't I remember hearing he was a Jungle Cruise guided at WDW?

Kevin Richardson from the Backstreet Boys played Alladin, I have a pic of him with my boys whent hey were toddlers. I will try to find it and post it. My nieces thought it was the coolest thing whent he BSB where in.

Speaking of celebrity stories...

One of my best friends worked at AK during her stint there and met Leonardo DiCaprio. She said he was the biggest jerk that she had ever met. :)

:( :( :( Must be tough being so rich and adored (kinda like the Tag Fairy!!!)

During one of my trips, a friend and I were staying at the Disney Institue. For anyone that stayed there before and ate in the main restaurant, it was called Seasons. While we were having breakfast, into the restaurant walks Drew Carey and sits down at the table next to us and has breakfast - just like any old Joe. It was pretty cool and the restaurant wasn't busy so he didn't have people hovering all around him. I know he may not have worked there but I thought the whole thing was pretty cool and thought someone may like hearing about it.
