Do you know anything about miniature pinchers?

I have read about them, but have not met one or talked to anyone that actually has one.

DH has his eye on this breed as our next dog... We have a Shih Tzu puppy right now, so won't adopt one for awhile, but are doing our research.

Are they good with other dogs? Are they really hyper? Easy to train? Social? Anything you have to offer is appreciated!

My friend has one. It is adorable, but very hyper and demands to be the center of attention at all times

Hyper doesn't come close to describing this breed. They are not easy to train and do not get along with all... they will have a "person" or 2 that they bond with and don't like others.

Very high maintenance. I would advise against this breed if you have other pets or have children.

All I know is that our huge 109 lb lab mix goes crazy every time the mini pincer who lives in our neighborhood walks by our house with his owner. He HATES it!! It makes no difference where he is in the house or what time of day his owner walks him, our dog hears it and flips.

I have a friend that volunteers for a miniature pincher rescue. If you would like for me to have her contact you, send me a PM with you e-mail address.

She has ended up keeping saveral of the hard to place dogs. A couple of them are "one person only" dogs, but some will jump inany lap that is empty.

They do seem to crave attention. My guess would be that since you have another dog, the 2 could bond and the mini pin wouldn't be so demanding of your time.
