have you or anyone you know ever taught elementary school in costa rica? and I'm looking for someone who has taught in the poorer schools -- not the well to do schools if there are any.

I can't help you, but you might want to post this question on Proteacher.com in the discussion section. I'm sure you'll find someone that can help you. Most of the posters there are really nice and willing to help out when they can.
