Do you have to use a day of your pass for PS breakfast?

We have a PS for 8:20 am on a Friday for Crystal Palace. We are going as a group of 30 for a wedding. Some of our party are only getting passes for a couple of days and didn't want to use their passes that day. Do you have to use a day of your pass to get in for the breakfast? Do you have to use a day if the PS is for before the park opens? Can we just eat breakfast before they open and then leave the park? If anyone has any info please let me know. I really appreciate it. Thanks.

You will need to use your passes.

If you book a resort character breakfast, you don't need to use passes, but its probably too late for that many people

Any dining inside of the parks require park admission--regardless of the time.

I hope they take the opportunity to enjoy the park since they will have to use the admission to get in.
