Do you have to sign your full name on a Passport?

My daughter was filling out her passport and did not sign her full name - just first and last. Is this a problem? Her middle name is on the printed portion of the passport. Thanks!

I included my middle initial, but not my full middle name on the passport. That was 8 years ago and hasn't been a problem. I used it just yesterday.
