do you have to pre-pay for Candlelight Processional?

The notice about the Candlelight Processional doesn't say anything about paying when you book the ADR - but I was wondering if anyone had any info to back that up?

When I book the CP pkg on Monday, will they ask for my cc? Will they charge it now? We have a large group - some will want to do the CP package and some will not. And SOME of them I haven't heard from yet. If they don't charge my cc now, would it work to go ahead and book them a CP pkg, and then if they decide they don't want it, they can just pay for the meal and not the extra for the CP package??

I talked to a CM at Disney Dining this morning and she confirmed that it will be OK to book some people on the CP pkg at the same time that others are NOT on the CP pkg. So I know it's OK that not everyone is doing the CP pkg. I'm just wondering if they change their minds later, how will that work?

For the packages, you pay the full amount at booking.

If you are using the dining plan, they will take your credit card number for charging a possible no-show fee.

If some of your party wants to opt out of the package, you can cancel just their packages, but you would have to do so prior to the cancellation deadline.

usually you have to pre pay for the dinner and the show, You can also use your ps for a meal then wait in the free line for a seat. be early and wait you may or may not get in to the show.

Does anyone know if you can pre-pay with Disney reward dollars? I know the restaurants all take them, but I've never tried to use them to pre-pay a meal or event.

Now I'm confused!

This is what the Dis info says,
NOTE: The Candlelight Dining Package will be paid for at the individual restaurant where the preferred seating badge will then be distributed.

So I presumed we would pay on the day.

Ok, I was confused too so I called Disney Dining today for some info.

The cast member I spoke with said that you need a credit card to "hold" your reservation. It will not be charged unless you don't show up. You can use that same card to pay for your meal or you can pay another way at the time of the dinner.

She said there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. Meaning you must cancel prior to 48 hours before the time of the reservation.

I don't know about the Disney reward dollars - you could always call and ask - They can't hit ya! (Quote from Bob Varley of Dis Podcast -missed greatly!)

I hope this helps someone!

Package bookings are usually paid in full. The Fantasmic packages are, I think

I have no actual knowledge of Candlelight packages. It seems they do it differently. I booked a couple years ago but not in a long time.

I've booked the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package the last two years that that's how it worked. You don't actually pay for meal until you finish eating. The waiter/waitress brings your passes to the CP with your bill.
