Not me. :confused3 I just saw a co-worker with a "perfect Attendance" polo shirt on....gee, I guess she NEVER gets sick!? :confused3 :rolleyes1

Uhhhh, no. I get sick, my children get sick and I have things come up that I have to take off for. I get sick days (10) and when necessary I take them. If I don't use them they are forfeit. I can't cash them out. I also get 5 personal/vacation days and I take them too. These are days that I have earned and am entitled to and I take them.

:lmao:

wait a minute...

:rotfl2:

ummm....

:rotfl:

no

I stopped wroking a few months ago, but before that I hadn't been out sick in 7 years except for when I gave birth.

I don't believe that all those with perfect work attendance really never get sick. They just come to work sick and infect all the rest of us! That's when we use our sick days.

Not at work--just wouldn't want to. I haven't actually taken a "sick" day in 3 or 4 years, but I've taken off "just because." (But I did get perfect attendance in 6th grade! :) )

No, we don't. But you reminded me of a secretary in my department a few years ago that took it upon herself to take attendance every day. She'd walk around and if it didn't appear that you were in she'd mark you absent. Mind you most people had their computers setup so they couldn't be seen from the doorway so she really had no way of knowing unless you were at your desk. One year she had me absent 73 times :rotfl2: . She was a nut  :rotfl: .

Not me! I am not dragging myself into work sick as a dog just to show my employer I am dedicated. I would rather rest up and keep others safe from my germs and then go to work

Do these perfect attendance people not ever have a loved one or family member die??

Perfect attendance at work?....you got to be kidding me. Well, I guess I now know what all those brown-nosers in high school are doing these days.

I'll have to look into the policy for this part of my company...since I was out sick one day last week!

The division I was in previously nicely rewards their employees for perfect attendance. If you're full time and make it through the first quarter without sick days, you receive $25. If you make it a second quarter, you get $50. Through a third quarter, $75. Through a 4th quarter and beyond, $100 each quarter from that point on. So potentially, if you're at the $100 point and are present an entire year, that's an additional $400! NICE! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc The trick? They all have to be CONSECUTIVE quarters!! Some people haven't been out sick in YEARS!!! However, when you're out once, you're back at the bottom rung trying for $25. That's the breaks! :teeth:

Note: Part timers receive half the amounts.

Now that our sick days come out of our PTO bank, there's more incentive not to take days. I had perfect attendance in 2003 & 2004, missed one day last year when I scratched my eye. I was lucky not to get sick.

As a matter of fact I do! For 4 years now........but the only reason is because of the $1500.00 bonus which pays for a nice little vacation! But I work a different schedule so it is not like I have to go to work 5 days a week........we work 12 hour days 2/2/3 We do get paid time off for funerals etc which does not count towards our attendence and neither does FMLA.

Nope, and I'm not striving for it either!

It used to be they gave employees with perfect attendance 8 hours of vacation time. They've taken that away in the last year, now all they get is a letter of recognition.

Thank you Jenks! If more people did that, the rest of us wouldn't catch the crud that gets passed from one staff member to the next! When I have a bad cold, I don't hesitate to call in sick! (I know some people can't afford to miss a day, etc. )

I haven't missed a day in a couple of years, but then again I only work weekends. DH has opnly missed a couple of days in 10 years, but he usually only works about 3 days a week. We don't get sick very often.
