Do You Have Must Dos Before Flying?

I think the thought makes sense. To me, dying on a plane that is crashing, is the worst way I think I could die next to drowning. A friend of mine at church told me, "God knows you are afraid of dying in a plane crash. You are his child and He will not have you to die that way." I keep that in mind now when I fly.

Sorry, not meaning to be rude, and this is probably a topic for another thread - but I would think that pretty much a every human being who has ever died in an airplane crash was afraid to die that way. :confused3 So, I really don't get that line of thinking. But, if it makes you feel better, I guess that's all that matters.

Personally, I just make sure I have something to read and maybe a snack if it's a long flight.

I always have to have a bottle of water with me on the plane. I hate waiting for FA's to start the drink cart if I am thirsty. I also always have a small snack before I board. There's nothing worse than starting to go in to that "low blood sugar" hunger feeling on a plane.

I'm not offended and I don't think you rude. I think many people understand this, but I think those are people who would choose another thread. :goodvibes

How funny about the magazines! Back in the days before the Globe and Examiner turned into celebrity tripe and had "good" articles about Elvis, alien abductions, etc., I used to bring the current issues whenever I flew. To heck with leaving them in the seat pockets...I often had fellow passengers ask me for them when they noticed I was done! I was always happy to pass them along. :) On the rare occasion that someone didn't ask, I always left them. Now, I just bring along a good true crime novel, a couple of handheld games, and a DVD player with whatever movie I haven't had time to watch yet.

I mention something about a fiery plane crash or exposion (not in the airport nowadays). I believe things happen when you don't expect them, so, by mentioning it,it will never happen.

Jim

Please if you fly out of New Orleans don't mention this as about midway through the flight a woman will get up from her seat and run around the cabin like a crazy person. That will be me having a nervous breakdown.

I pray and grip the seat and try to read and remain calm.
