The new guy finally has me posting. Ha! :teeth: There's a young, cute, blonde guy that bought a townhouse next to me a month or two ago. (Hey! I'm not the newest in the neighborhood!) :) Haven't said a word to him, was in the van one day when he came out to his truck and waved at me. :) Well, yesterday afternoon my two dogs were barking like crazy. I had the windows open and could hear someone playing a guitar and singing. Not loud, just enough to hear it. I looked outside and saw this guy sitting in a chair on the edge of the golf course playing and singing away. :)

I have to say these townhouses are close together, and I can see out the windows upstairs and look right as his place. Ha! We do have trees in between the buildings, but it doesn't completely cover viewing another's windows. I heard a noise at his upstairs window. Didn't phase me. I just glanced and went back to what I was doing. A few minutes ago I heard another noise and looked out to see him settling himself outside on the roof with a towel to sun himself. LOL! :teeth: I'm getting a kick out of this guy. I actually think he's on the roof of a different neighbor in that building...don't know how they will like it. ;)

So do you have any interesting neighbors? LOLOLOLOL!

Not really, but my downstairs neighbor sometimes walks around in nothing but his shorts in the shared entryway.

Not any more. The goth kid next door who wanted to bomb the high school has been gone since last fall and his family sold the house a couple of months ago and moved far, far away. Boring now.

Esmeralda...

Kathy...The guy next door, Esmeralda's neighbor, or both? :teeth:

Don...  I think I would be glad that one is gone.

I hope this guy doesn't get hit with a golf ball. I can hear the golfers out there. Considering one put a golf ball through my second story window managing to avoid all the trees, I don't think I'd be on the roof.

Interesting? depends on how you look at it. My neighborhood is very bizarre...it is the United Nations...we have 26 houses...of them 2 are from Africa, one from Japan, one from Pakistan, one from India, One from Korea, One from Jamicia, One from Brazil. They are the normal ones too! lol! My next door neighbors has stepped out of a time warp and thinks it is still the 50s...with the women who won't drive any where but the grocery store and her "job" is to take care of the inside of the house and the kids (note I stated inside) won't pull a weed or plant a flower. Waits for her husband to come home to take her to the movies, mall or even Target. I just sometimes feel like I've mored into twlight zone!

Ummm... your cute blond guy. I don't think I want to see Esmeralda's strange guy!

We live in a pretty cool neighborhood:D One neighbor used to have a very large teepee in her backyard. She would have people come over for ritualistic drumming sessions. Another neighbor is a consultant for the federal government-he is an expert in Latin American countries-someone from the FBI actually came to our house to ask some questions about him. Judge Judy's daughter used to live on our street, they would have a big party once a year for the whole neighborhood ( note my tag:D ) Then of course there's us:crazy:

We've got a couple of doozies. Used to be the woman next door with the 4 kids (each a different dad) who used to run around barefoot in early spring (with snow still on the ground)....the only boy broke into our house twice...before he was 6 years old. They moved a few years ago. Now, it's just the sex offender who just moved in last month, plus the pot-smoking neighbors....I frankly have no issue with whatever recreational drugs they choose to use, but it is a little shocking to see the dad sitting out front passing a joint between his two teenaged sons while the 8 year old sits with them.

And believe it or not, we supposedly live in a "nice development".

I'm pretty sure I'm the weird neighbor.

PW, go say "hi", with some sweet tea. ;)

Tinkerbutt...Definitely sounds like you have the league of nations! Wow!

Kathy...I'll have to work on that!!! :teeth: ;)

Kteacher...Sounds like an interesting neighborhood! I wouldn' t mind living there. :)

Bedknobbery2... :scared1: I think I would be moving. :faint:

Laurie...LOL! I doubt you are. Take tea over to him? :scratchin Will have to think about that. :)

My parents had a really interesting neighbour about 20 years ago, he was the Irish Attorney General.

What made him so interesting was that there was a nationwide manhunt going on for a guy who had murdered two people. The murderer was found hanging out in the apartment of his friend, the Attorney General!

Although he hadn't realised his friend was a murderer, the whole thing didn't do much for the AG's career!

i'm with serena i think weare the weird nieghbors, I went from the longhaired cowboy type with the long bushyu beard to the shaved headed one eyed guy with an eye patch and a bikers scarf. dw does all driving,, but i have to back any trailers involved into my driveawy:) dw was the only female home repair specialist in the area till she gave it up last week and started looking for a new job, I'm the guy that does all the house work and cooking,, dw has cooked one meal for family by herself in 2004, i make bread from scratch, home made bbq sauce home made ketsup, etc:)

pw maybe he went out on the roof so you could get a better view:)

We don't have any that are really odd, although we do have a couple who are annoying and have been having a boundary war with their next-door neighbor(who is my across the street neighbor) over like 1 1/2 inches. Some people have nothing better to do I guess.

Wen Iwas growing up, the lady nexy door was an odd duck. She would walk the neighborhood on garbage night and pick stuff out of other people's garbage cans. We had an above-ground pool when I was a kid, and when we got rid of it, we watched her ealry one morning drag thie side of the pool (it was an 18 foot round pool, so this was pretty heavy!) from our yard to hers, where she used it to fence off parts of her yard and garden. This woman was in her 80's at the time!!!!

A few years later, they started building condos behind our house. One day, the builder came over to my parents and asked if my older brother (who was about 16 at the time) was stealing bricks form them. My parents said no, because he wasn't. The builder had a security guy sit there at night, and one night he caught the old lady next door stealing the bricks from the construction site. She was out there at like 2AM, wandering around, stealing bricks which she brought into her yard to use for various things. Again, because she was in her 80's, they never prosecuted her, but they did threaten that if they caught her again, they would.

She moved about 5 years ago and the people who bought her house had a heckuva time clearing all the stuff out of her yard that she had accumulated through the years.

we used to have a man -- a respected doctor -- who would jog down the street wearing women's spandex workout gear.

one of my neighbors -- an older man, a widower with grown kids and a thriving business -- hired a "housekeeper" and turned his house into a brothel, customers coming to visit her day and night. when the police put a stop to that, he married her and had a baby with her.

one of my neighbors was a volunteer fireman until he was arrested for stealing the fre department's funds.

then of course there's my neighbor with video camera... several years ago, when my neighbor's son was still in high school, a group of boys were hanging out at my neighbor's house. a girl from the neighborhood dropped by...the boy's mother destroyed the videotape, so we'll never know if it was consensual or criminal...

I guess I'm the wierd neighbor, now, but a few years ago, the house next door to the south, the house next door to the north and the house across the street all had fires, intentionally or accidentally set by their owners within about a two year time span.

The one across the street had a gas explosion at 2am. The old guy who lived there was burned, but got out alive. We're pretty sure the other two single guys were depressed, and did it themselves.

With the exception of the pot heads across the street, the street is becoming more family friendly. Young families are starting to move back into the area. It's been a long time since we had little kids playing around here.

Not interesting, but annoying. My next door neighbor's house sits below ours, and our driveways are side-by-side with his being about 5 feet below ours. Anyway, my husband mowed the grass last weekend, and he comes over to our door that night to tell us we got grass on his car. Oh, come on!!! "We just washed the cars, and you got grass on one of them." Well, buddy, why don't you clean out your garage so you can park your cars in them. And while you're at it, why don't you practice using the button that closes your garage door because I'm getting tired of looking at all the crap in your garage all day long.

I *wish* I had a cute guy sunning himself to look at instead of these idiots.

Yes, sure do, to say the least.

The scumbags left the house and moved to MO Thursday night. They left bags of trash on the front porch and the house is open. Oh did I mention they own the home. Maybe not, maybe it's being taken back. All I know is that it is ruined and probably will be torn down. Thank goodness as it's bringing down the neighborhood. They let it go to a pile of crap!

Wow! Some of these are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much!

Froggy...maybe he went out so I can get a better view! LOLOLOLOLOL! ;)
