It's a new year and that means time to clean house....I have been going through boxes and trying to get rid of stuff, reorganize, get stuff out of cardboard and into plastic totes, etc. I still have a box of stuff from high school in my attic (grad. 1990) - favors from 3 proms, programs from concerts I was in, etc. I also just broke a mug I got for grad. from a mom/family friend I used to babysit for that has since past on (I was really upset when it broke, I really should have retired it) but I still have a plastic snoopy figure in cap & gown from her still.

Do you have any high school memorabilia & is it tucked away somewhere or displayed in your house? Don't forget to tell us what year...or at least decade you graduated in ;)

2005, Still have prom stuff, invitations, my mug with everyone's name on it. I have my yearbooks in good condition. I still have quite a bit. My mug is on display in a china cabinet.

Without looking in the box...(it is a small box)...

I have a yearbook and my letters (three different high schools--one letter for each: 2 academic, 1 for swim team).

No idea what else is in it though.

Graduated in the 90s.

My boyfriend :lmao: (actually he wasn't my bf in high school...we were just acquaintances back then, so I don't think that counts :scratchin )

But seriously...I don't have anything displayed, but I have some stuff in my closet, such as some pictures, my cap & gown and yearbook.

I graduated in 1997.

I still have my ring and my boyfriend... Yup.. I married him!
Year is 1972 on the ring!

Yearbooks, shoe boxes with notes, prom garter, books from lit classes and a book about atomic energy that I stole from the library and forgot to return.

I still have a collection of notes from my friends, my tassle from my graduation cap, an album full of photos, some dried flowers, and my letters of reccomendation from teachers for college scholarships.

c/o '92! wooohooo :cool1:

graduated 1991 and still have my senior memory book. Its got all my paper memories from high school including the matching air brushed boxer shorts my boyfriend and I got in Panama City Beach Fl. I saw him recently and we had a good laugh about it. He said I was still just as pretty as I was in 1991 ;) Do you think he was trying to relive the old days LOL!
I also still have my H.S. ring, doesnt fit anymore since im a LITTLE heavier than i was in those days.

My Diploma!

but seriously folks...

Graduation tassle, freshman letter in gymnastics. (broke my arm)

ALso saved all my referrals. You know..... notices sent home to parents....
one copy for dean
one for counselor
one for student
one for parents
It's good to get home and get the mail, hehehheheheeee

I have yearbooks, graduation tassle, highschool ring, and tons of photos!

1971. I have a whole group of old friends and a whole box of awards and other memories. Year book, scrapbooks, playbooks and programs, newspaper clippings, photos. I have yet another large box of records all in their covers. Once in a while, I play them.

OMG, I have a ton of stuff, not just from high school but from when I was little. In fact my DD (7) wears an apron that my grandmother sewed for me when I was 5! I probably have one really large carton of stuff.

I am not a pack rat at all, but these are my memories, and I keep them!:goodvibes

I have quite a few things too - yearbooks, diploma, graduation tassle, photos, boyfriend (now husband), prom dress, class ring, senior class t-shirt, and my cheerleading uniform including the cool nikes with two different color swoosh. The uniform fits although the skirt is really short in the back. :rolleyes1

1982. :crazy2:

There is a box in the attic of some momentos from childhood....and here is what I THINK is in it from high school. But not positive.
Graduation cap & tassle
diploma
prom favor
my letter (band) ---but I think I removed it from the jacket. Not sure.

I do have my yearbook in the bookcase...not in the attic.
Report cards are in a childhood photo album. (K-12)
Album also has any news paper clippings of me & photos from school & friends.
Class ring is in my jewelry box.

I'm pretty sure I got rid of any trophies & placques. But now that I think about it, there may be 1 placque that had a photo on it of stage band...maybe I kept that one.

Am I going to have to go up in the attic know & open that trunk after all there years? lol

DH also has a childhood box in the attic...but no idea what's in his.

Someone else commented last night that you look familiar and now after really looking at your picture I KNOW I have seen you...but, I'm still trying to place you - we live in the same area and probably shop in the same stores...It will come to me sooner or later.

Not too much here, I graduated in the late 1980's. I still have my yearbooks in great conditiion (they were never in storage, always on a nice bookshelf); my band instrument and music; two old gym shirts; and my lime green algebra 2 & trigonometry book from my favorite math class (I didn't steal it, really! My teacher let us keep them! :teeth: ); and I think I still have my cap and gown somewhere in the attic!

That's about it!

I graduated in 1984.

I still have:
my tassel from my mortarboard
yearbooks for three years
my choir folders, with several pieces of sheet music in them
my all county choir packet
all the programs from each play and concert
my last ditto I made for Sub Plan (our school paid for programs instead of numerous subs and we had a student staff make posters and dittos each day)
the school newspapers I had articles in
class ring and the tickets from the ring breakfast (my artwork on it)
my letters and chevrons, plus the plaque for being the phys ed chair's 'secretary'
ribbons from swim meets
three very good friends, however, they're not in the box (lol)
4 choir albums and the all county music concert album
My first (and only) choir alumni letter-the director retired the following spring
I think I also have the musical staff shoelaces that I wore in my hightops senior year.
My football jersey that they sold as a team fundraiser every year. Our team was the Colts and our colors were blue and white. Imagine the trouble I got into wearing it when I moved to Maryland!

for someone who wasn't in any art classes, I do have an awful lot of my artwork that adorned the halls of school, programs or tickets I made.

Well I actually don't have them at my condo, but at my parents' house there are my year books, the jacket I was given for play on the 9-0 fottball team back in 1985. Also my dad still has VHS tape of my football games somewhere in the house.
Class of 1989

Graduated class of 96 and I have a box of HS stuff in the closet in the office. It contains letters from a friend of mine back in HS, along with a stolen picture frame I took off the table I was sitting at during Prom. It also contains several newspaper clippings from when a guy in our class shot/killed his father over Christmas vacation our junior year. I think one of my graduation invitations and tassel are in there, too, but I don't remember. I have all 4 year books from HS also, but I haven't looked at them in years. I think the only reason I bought them was because I felt you were supposed to, like if you didn't you were some kind of deviant freak.

I have all of my notebooks from high school.

My son just started 9th grade this year and it is also the year we started homeschooling, so since I need to teach him algebra, I need to know how to do it. Luckily I have all my notes from 84-88 to help me.

Call me a nerd, but I knew one day in the far future I would need them. ;)
