Do You Have Anyone Ignored?

Here on the DIS, is there actually someone who you have ignored?

I did for a while, he's a popular poster on the Theme Park and Strategies board who I find condescending but he can be helpful. I'm definitely not mentioning who but I am curious, does anyone actually mute people out?

Nah...nobody is worth the effort. Although, I do believe that I am on "ignore" for someone!!

I have 2 on ignore who personally and viciously attacked me...about 2 years ago....one doesn't seem to be on the DIS anymore and the other one doesn't post very often over here anymore. I will admit to unblocking one of them at the beginning to see if they were still conceited...yup, they were.

Yes - and I find the DIS to be a much more pleasant place to visit now..

For a long time, I just "mentally" ignored - but there are certain posters who basically behave in the same arrogant, nasty manner consistently (regardless of what the subject of a thread is) and I simply got tired of wading past all of their rantings.. More often than not, they were just there to "stir the pot" or irritate other posters just for the fun of it.. Now I can just zip right by their posts (unless someone quotes them), but that doesn't happen very often - which leads me to believe that others are ignoring them too - either "mentally" or with the ignore feature..

Every now and then I will unblock them - to see if maybe they're in a "better place" now - but so far there is only one poster that I have been able to take off of the ignore feature permanently - due to a significant change in attitude and/or postings..

I think the ignore option is one of the best features on the DIS!

I didn't know you could block people! there's a poster i would love to block out... how do I do it?

Across the top menu bar is User CP (control panel) and some where in there is where you can set it up. I also think you can access it from clicking on your name on the right side with your notice/PM stuff.
