Everyone has been so helpful with all my recent inquiries, I wanted to pay it forward. We are boarding the Dream on Monday, Aug 30th (and actually Friday, Sept 10th too). If you want to know anything specific, post your question here and I will do my best to find out. I won’t be able to tell you about Concierge or the kids club though as those don’t apply to me.

I’m already planning to try and remember to get screenshots of the following:
menus, incl room service
activities each day
booking Rainforest Room
method of communication w guest services
booking a placeholder

Can you please double check that you can ONLY book a certificate for a future cruise and not a specific date? It seems like with them being shorter staffed shoreside (based on hold times) it would make it easier for everyone if someone knows when they want to cruise rather than do the “Here is your certificate number. Now you or your travel agent needs to call to book the cruise you know you want right now.”

Honestly to me that is a big negative and would potentially stop me from even dealing with the hassle.

I'm wondering if these things have changed since the 8/9 sailing...

Are laundry rooms open yet?
Are there donuts at cabanas?
I believe I have heard made to order eggs are now available at cabanas. Is that correct?
Is there any "advertising", maybe acknowledgement is a better word of pirate night (letting people know to wear pirate gear)or dress up night? Our navigator app said cruise casual all 4 nights. 1 night was pirate themed and many guests dressed accordingly. Myself and 2 others asked guest services if there is a dress up night. Between us we got 3 different answers.

Just wondering what, if anything has progressed from the first sailing.
Thanks!

Is the entire loop (including enclosed areas) of the Deck 4 jogging track open?
Does the Cove Cafe still switch from pastries to antipasto in the evening?
Is the little late-night snack buffet in the adult district open?
Thanks!

I know you mentioned activities, but we are especially interested in the adult areas. What shows or games are going on in the evening. Are there still late night snacks in the District?

Enjoy your cruises!

1) are they doing the art of the theme show tour? (I’m guessing not)

2) are they playing the Good Morning show with the cruise director each morning on the tv? (The one that plays for hours on a loop)

Thanks!

Not to step on any toes but they were doing Good Morning Disney Dream as of the first sailing on 8/9. :thumbsup2

We were aboard a cruise when opening day for platinum cruisers happened when the released the most recent Hawaii cruises. Went to the future cruise desk early in the morning with many other people waiting for the desk to open. If I had only been able to get a placeholder while onboard, I would not have been able to book on the Hawaiian cruise, since they were sold out by the time the cruise was over. In fact, I no that even some onboard where unable to book the handicap accessible room they needed, since those rooms were sold out that morning.

Was this since reopening post-COVID though?

no, our first post-covid cruise that is still scheduled is supposed to be the EBPC this November. Just observing that if you can only book the generic placeholder, rather than a specific cruise, it might prevent people from actually being able to book the cruise they want if they happen to be cruising when new dates are initially available to book

I agree. Especially since the certificate (you’re really not holding a specific spot, so “placeholder” is confusing to me) has to be called in to be used.

From what I've read, they are only doing placeholders on board, not actual cruise bookings. Maybe someone who has sailed can confirm.
