When washing dishes (we don't own a dishwasher), the order MUST be glasses, spoons, forks, knives, bowls, plates and then pots and pans. DH once did a pot first and I had to drain the sink, fill it up again and take over.
My sister and my mother (and now also my DD) always smell EACH bite of food before it goes in their mouth. I think that's pretty weird.
My books are also arranged by genre and in alphabetical order on the shelves .... no poetry in with the fiction!!
