I like the looks of the Vera Bradley cloth bags. I just bought a new rather large purse, and it's too heavy! I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with these (they're cloth - quilted, washable - colorful fabric).

My DD has a couple Vera Bradley bags in the small backpack style. They're very lightweight with plenty of room in them. I haven't tried washing them yet, though, so no advice there.

Yes, I carry the bucket tote right now. It's roomy without being too big. I like their stuff. They wash up great.

I have several different styles and love them!!

So where do you find these? I think I've seen them at Crabtree & Evelyn? I looked up on Macy's & Nordstrom's website and I didn't see that they were sold there.

I like VB bags.:lovestruc Check out the website. There are so many options to choose from. You can get just the style and features (pockets, etc,) you want in a bag. I like to get the matching cell phone cases, eyeglass case and wallets, too. VB has a huge product line.

I have a couple of the VB bowlers. I like them a lot. Good amount of room, nice patterns. i call them my mary Poppins bags because I can fit anything into them.

i have several different sizes and patterns and love them all. in fact i used the wristlet for my last trip to disney and it was the perfect size for my cash, cards, camera, and phone. if you look on the website they have a store locator to help you find the nearest retailers to you.

My sil and niece have tons of the stuff, every size bag you can think of. I do have 1 purse that I am carrying now and I like it ok. I don't think they are made particulary well as the little inside pockets of mine lost their stitching within a couple of weeks. I do like that I can throw it in the laundry. I would purchase another and probably will for the spring. Look on e-bags.com, they usually have good prices.

I have a few. I love them. Very lightweight and fun! I took my hipster to Disneyland and it was great! I recommend them.

Fun bags and I do have a few of the older patterns, Haven't purchased any lately.

My last couple of bag have been Dooney & Bourke. Love the Sweetheart bag with all the hearts.

I had a Vera Bradley diaper bag. It was a gift and it was a really unique orange, pink and white pattern. It was such an original -- I never had a hard time finding my diaper bag in the pile when I got together with other moms!

Vera Bradley bags are the best.

check out www.ebags.com They have some good deals. My 10 Y.O. just ordered 2 from there on Sunday.

As far as washing them- I use woolite, and cold water, hang to dry. No problems.

I just got the 'Betsy' bag for Christmas with a matching wallet and cell phone holder. This is my first and I absolutely love it. I know my DM ordered it from Verabradley.com in the outlet sale section.

I have 3. One is my summer bag from a couple of years ago, one is my summer bag from this most recent summer, one is my smaller "travel" purse.

I like them.

when you put them in the washer, take out the bottom piece which I believe is like a cardboard. I have a summer one and a winter one....I LOVE THEM.......I also got one in Disney that looks like Vera Bradley but isnt......it had three mouse heads that are so darn cute.....also got the little wallet at AK when we were there.......they have changed their line now and are into that hard sided purses.

I have a few styles ranging from the hipster to the large duffel bag I use for vacations.
I love them all but now I'm in winte rmode and use a Coach bag.
Come the Spring I'll buy a new one that I use for commuting to work.
I wore my Villager tote bag out. I loved that one!

At first (years ago) when they weren't quite so popular, I thought they were only for the ....ahem.... the older generation. Now I LOVE them!! I use them all the time, all different sizes. I have literally worn out 3 different bags that I use for work to bring home my papers to grade and my plan book.

I have washed them and they don't seem to fade. As Pumba mentioned, be sure to take out the cardboard.

Oh- I buy mine at a local little specialty store in town. I was at an airport once and there was a VB store in it!!!

I just got one from my sisters for Christmas- the Morgan bag in the Puccini print. DH got me the coordinating wallet and a matching laptop case. I really like the print, and it really is a very lightweight bag, but big enough that I can toss a diaper and a snack in it, and not have to take the diaper bag in. I can also fit a paperback or magazine in there- which will be fabulous next time we travel.

BFF has one of their diaper bags- she loves it. She has a 19 month old and is expecting twins currently, so she definitely needs the space! She has washed it a couple times, and had good luck with it. I am considering getting one when I get pregnant again- it is too big for me right now, but would be nice if I had more than one child.

Some Merle Norman stores carry Vera Bradley, although they apparently don't show up in the store locator. DH drove 30 minutes to go the "official" VB store, when we have a Merle Norman/VB store about 10 minutes away! Check the store locator on their website.
