Do you have a Touring Plan?

Do you have a touring plan for DLP or is it just what takes your fancy?

I made a plan last year - not so much as a route march, more a 'I want to go on these rides' type of thing. I didn't stick rigidly to it though. Some of the rides were completely packed and there was no way of getting on them. They are at the top of my to do list for this trip. I decided I didn't want to be too rigid - it's supposed to be a holiday after all, so I decided that if I made a loose plan, decided what rides I particularly wanted to go on or shows/attractions I wanted to see and work from that.

I don't know how sensible it is, but I never have a touring plan!! Mind you we do tend to visit when it is reasonably quiet, so maybe if we went in high season I might try my hand at making a plan!!!

See normally we head riught for small world and take it from there but we've been a bit stumped by the fact small world will be closed on our visit. On my first visit when I was 4 months pregnant dh rode the rides while I sat in a nice shaded bit reading my book.

As we always visit the last week in July we always have some sort of a plan to follow especially on the mornings we have either a Fantasyland breakfast or a character breakfast - we've found these are the best ways to get all our favourite rides done without hassle.

We also always start with it's a small world.

We only ever have a rough plan. We tend to book our meals before we go, then plan our time round them. We want to go into Paris this time and have earmarked two days for this as we don't want to go in in bad weather ~ knowing my luck it will rain on both those days!

Because we always visit in summer we usually have a rough plan like what fastpasses to get, the order of lands to visit and what shows to see on which days, so that we can be sure to get on the main attractions when there are no crowds.
The third day is always our shopping-and-Do-your-favourites-again-day so we decide in the morning where to start, order of attraction and where to shop.
But there`s always room to change the route spontaneously

When we were there last June we stayed 4 nights /5 days so it gave us lots of time to do exactly what we wanted to do.

I probably would have a plan if just there 1 or 2 days

I always choose the restaurants that I want to eat at before we go, and have an idea of what we are doing each day mainly so we don't miss out the things we want to do, we always do fantasy land the first morning, and then in the afternoon do fast pass rides such as BTM.

I plan the studios before we go as because the shows are shown on a schedule, so I decide on what shows we are going to see and at what time so we can fit in all the shows we want to see.

I did make a plan for our visit last year. A day for each land plus a day for the studios. Turns out it was so quiet we managed everything in 3 days and spent the last two days revisiting our favourites. I'm a complusive planner though and will probably do the same type of thing this year , albeit on a lesser scale to ensure we all get to do our favourites and each have a turn at picking where we eat.

I plan which park and where we are eating in advance.
Each day we then plan in the morning which rides we fancy.

Our first visit we had a very planned stay but now we are going 2/3 times a year it is much more flexible. We are actually doing Paris river boats, Parc Asterix and the Davy crocketts adventure park this time which leaves us with less time in the parks but it is the first time we are going with opening hours up to 23.00 so we will always have first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

We tend to have a set routine for the first two hours every day.......then after that we do what we feel like.

The only thing we really plan after that is too make sure we have an early lunch while watching the English version of the lion king show.
