Do you have a sleep number bed?

We've had one for about 7-8 years and we're very pleased with it. You might try a search for some previous threads on this, there have been a few over the years.:)

Thank you Micca. I will give the search a try, but i am searched challenged as i never get the right results. lol

The Dis search engine is useless. If you search posts under my name, I had a thread a while ago about beds/mattresses. :)

I'll see if I can find it and post it.

Be right back!

Yeah i was coming up with nothing, as per usual. Thank you Sarah.

I have one. I love it because I like being able to adjust it. There is the "gap" in the middle, but honestly, I don't notice it much when my husband is in the bed since he takes up his fair share of space. Honestly, it's a great bed.

We've had a Sleep Number bed for about 6 years and it's the best bed we've ever had. We tried every other kind of bed there is and the Sleep Number is the only one that works for us.

We've had ours for a couple years, and we love, love, love it! Before we got our sleep number bed, I woke up every morning with my back hurting. Even on weekends when I wanted to relax and sleep late, my back hurt so bad I had to get out of bed - I could just lay there and relax. Since we bought the sleep number bed, I have not had any back problems. I like that I can adjust the bed to what is comfortable to me at the time. I can make it more firm when I want to sit up and read. DH likes his mattress more firm than I do so the sleep number allows us both to be comfortable. My only regret is that we waited so long to get it. We will be purchasing my DD one in a couple months.

We love ours. My husband and I have completely different sleep numbers. He likes a firmer mattress. I like a medium/softer mattress. We actually have sleep number pillows too. The reason behind mine is I have a shunt and with my pillow is it doesn't aggravate my shunt. I tried 5 or 6 types of pillows before settling on this one and finally relief (I have had multiple revisions so I have a good bit of scarring on my head).

I have a queen size pillow top with two air bladders. I hate it. It has a horrible dip in the middle. No matter how I adjust it, I feel like I always roll to the middle. I won't get another one.

Don't believe their 20 year warranty. We had the air pump go out twice and had to pay a discounted price to replace it. The second time we got rid of the bed (after about 6-7 years) because DH hated it from the start. We now have a memory foam bed from Bob's Discount Furniture and love it.

we almost bought one, but talked to 2 different friends that had them - they had the same problem with the air pump - the density of air does change, so you use the pump to add air - and so the air pump does tend to need replacing -

Also, when I've done searches (I go to google - and put in what I'm searching for say sleep number bed + disboards) when I add disboards I have more luck. :wizard:

I really miss my waterbed!

We have one and love it too! We have the king adjustable bed and it has been a godsend with my husband's bad back. He can move his legs or head and I can stay where I am. It is really comfortable to sleep on too. We have had ours for about 5 years and haven't replaced anything yet.

I have one. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. We have had frequent issues with leaks or pump problems and they have been pretty good about fixing them but I am not thrilled they have happen (we are not large people or rough on the bed or anything so I don't get why it has happened more than once).

Honestly it's OK..basically a pillowtop covered air mattress. I liked it better than a traditional spring mattress and since DH and I did differ on firmness it seemed like a good solution (although I have since learned would have simply linked 2 twins together and each had what we wanted) but for the price I wouldn't recommend a Sleep Number bed.

Thank you all.

I also googled reviews and it seems split 50/50 if people like it or hate it.

Dh and I will be trying out mattresses this winter. Sleep number is on our list to try. They have a store in the mall that I walked by when Christmas shopping. It was packed in there at that time.

I have lower back trouble and I tend to sleep on my right side most of the night or my back. I can't sleep on my left side at all because of positional vertigo. I'm all kinds of messed up.

Two years ago we bought this mattress we have now because it felt so good in the store. It felt good for awhile and now it's downright uncomfortable. I'm contemplating sleeping on the floor, that's how bad it is. We even tried an egg crate topper to help it out. That sinks too. My back feels horrible.

Let us know how you think of them when you test them out. A co-worker of Dh's didn't like it at the Raddison, but it could be that she was trying to find her sleep number at 2 in the morning after a long day. They put her up there, then have her driving over an hour home at that time.

I have their pillow that I love, and was thinking about the bed..until I googled. Between the non existent warranty(pump failures) and the potential mold issues, I'll stick to a traditional mattress.
