Yes- DBF bought one after grandma said it was gold in a cardboard box. Just looking at the thing grosses me out. DBF swears it works- I have not noticed any diff in him- he is still congested unless he takes his allergy-D product. I can't use it- too freaking gross. I keep trying to think of ways to destroy it "accidentally" because I honestly gag picturing it's use. Sooo... do you have one?

Have one, love it. I know the whole concept of it is really wierd and a put-off to some, but it really works. Even my doubting-Thomas DH uses it with positive results. I feel better after using it. Kind of like a good tooth-brushing for the nasal passages.

And it's purple.

Hubby doesn't exactly have a neti pot, but he has something that works the same way -

It's just a plastic squeeze bottle, and he uses a saline mix in it, but the principle is the same - to flush out the sinuses. He uses it all the time and swears by it.

I tried it once when I had a head full of snot, and it really did work.

Well, I was all set with a snarky reply until I saw what one was.

I saw this (or something like this) on Oprah. As soon as I saw it I wanted to buy one for dd3 because she has allergies (or what I think are allergies) so bad. But I don't think I could get her to use it.

I first heard about them in college - in Yoga class - and more recently a Dr. recommended one and a regimen for my sinuses. My sinuses aren't that bad - and I am not sure I could get used to it.

I don't usually jump to buy things I see on Oprah, but I did buy one of these. I keep forgetting to use it but the few times I have it does seem to help.

I saw it on Oprah and went ahead and bought one b/c I my sinuses aren't horrible but they do need help during the allergy season. I swear I'd wake up in the middle of the night just to blow my nose, but since I've used it I haven't woken up at all. Plus I can breath deeper too. It's not gross or anything, the water goes in and comes back out, it's not as if it's going in and going down your throat or something like that....of course unless you're like me and closed your mouth the first time....I almost drowned myself....
