Do You Have A First Night Tradition

Thank you all again for sharing your first night traditions.I've enjoyed reading everyone of them.I don't feel like a nut now knowing many others have a first night and in some cases a final day or night traditon.:wave2:

a ride around the monorail, visiting each of the MK resorts, walking main street and ending the nite with fireworks

First evening is always dinner at Chef Mickey's, then if we have AP's we go to Magic Kingdom until closing.

We usually have an early dinner at Chef Mickey's and then head over to Epcot for Illuminations if we have a UPH or AP

CHEF MICKEY FOR US TOO!

We drive in and usually arrive in town just in time to stop by the Disney outlets at BELZ factory outlet before driving onto Disney Property for dinner at Chef Mickey's with friends who live in Orlando. This gets our "must see" character pictures out of the way and starts the kids autograph books off with some great autographs!

The kids are entertained by the characters, the food is great and we get to catch up with our friends!

We don't get to our Disney resort usually until 4 or 5pm. So we like to hit downtown disney and hit bed to get an early start the next day.

The last two times I went - my wife and I like to chill out at the hotel and have a cocktail. We like to sit at the poolside bar and enjoy the downtime before we hit the parks and it gives us a time to talk about the evenings plans while we are waiting for our room to be ready. It creates an anticipation and excitment and the excietment that the whole vacation is ahead of you.

I just love reading what others do when they get to WDW!!
This trip will be our 4th time (we're wicked psyched!!) at WDW. We usually get to our resort by noon, unpack and off to a park!
This time will probably be a little different for us because we will have to go to a park first to activate our AP's then go to AKL to check in. Also, its our first summer trip. I think we may hang around the pool and resort until after dinner then who knows!!

We drive (from Michigan) and take two days to get there, so we arrive pretty late our first day. So, all we do is check in and go to Downtown Disney for McDonalds and our first "breath" of Disney.

The real tradition is our first FULL DAY. We grocery shop (of course) then Pool, relax and it's off to the 5:00 Hoop Dee Doo show. It's strange but for the last 3 years we've sat at the exact same table even. We do the hayride if the weather is nice and head back for a good night sleep. We do Cindy's bfast the next morning (we've had the same waiter the last 3 years too, strange?) and then MK until we can't take it any more.

:sunny: We LOVE Disney!!! :sunny:
