tell me about it---where did you buy it? How much? what does it filter out?

DD is getting old enough to be online alone for games & such so I don't want any stuff to come her way - So I really need to investigate this...

Any help?

I researched quite a bit and got an anti-porn filter. It turned out of be terrible...it screened out things like cnn.com. I had to un-install it. Now we use the filter that comes with Norton Anti-Virus. I have to laugh, though. The other day it wouldn't let me go onto gk-elite.com, which sells girls' gymnastics leotards...I guess the filter thought that all those pictures of little girls in leotards was child porn. (?)

where do you buy the filters? I'm pretty sure I have Norton on this computer but it was alreadry installed when I got it so now what?

We use bsafe. We bought it online and I have been very happy with it. I don't remember what it cost, but it was very reasonable (especially when you consider that you are protecting your kids!). We haven't had it filter out anything we wanted. I recommend it. (I think it is bsafe.com but you could do a search) Good luck!
