Do you have a favorite salad dressing?

I like just about any kind of dressing. It depends on what I want at the time.

Does anyone remember "Western" dressing? It was a sweet Catalina-style dressing. The bottle had a picture of a cowboy on a horse. It is what my parents gave to us to intice us to eat our salad. Yummy!

The best salad dressing I've ever had is the ginger dressing that they use at Teppanyaki.

I like Ken's Greek dressing.

Also if at a restaurant that has homemade dressings - it's heaven to mix blue cheese with Italian.

I generally like Caesar and Italian dressings the best (creamy and/or oil-- love em both!) They tend to taste pretty good when you buy the "light" versions too.

I also like Thousand Island or Bleu Cheese when I'm feeling decadent.

I've converted a few Irish people to Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette. I can make something similar myself, but it's not as consistent as the bottle I keep in the refrigerator!
Caesar dressing would be another favourite.
One of my all time favourite comfort foods is a salad from my childhood, made up of chopped hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, lettuce and scallions, with a bit of salt and pepper, all swished around in a BIG spoonful of mayonnaise. Makes the most delicious sandwich!

that's DH's favorite. I like it a lot too.

My fave, though, is Hidden Valley Ranch, followed by just about every other ranch dressing as long as it isn't fat free. Those just don't taste right. Hidden Valley's lite ranch is pretty good though.
