Do you have a favorite resort to spend Halloween at?

Hi y'all!

I know Ft Wilderness is very popular for trick-or-treating (I even read in past threads that they limited access to FW guests only on Halloween), but I've also seen that other resorts had activities and trick-or-treating of their own. I wanted to know of everyone's resort experiences on Halloween, especially for a newly-2yo (we also have a 13yo). 🎃

I'm considering an Oct 30-Nov 6 trip to experience both Halloween and Christmas since they do the big change over at MK, but we wouldn't do the MNSSHP/BB party and instead spend the evening enjoying Halloween activities around whatever resort might have something fun going on. (I'm leaning heavily towards doing 2 nights WL before switching over to an Epcot area resort, since Epcot's our favorite park and there's F&W.) :tigger:

Bump! (Am I too early for Halloween thinking? :earboy2: )

Fort Wilderness is the only place I'd go but you already mentioned it so I assumed you were looking for other options. As far as I'm concerned, there are no other options. :confused3

I've done a lot of resorts for Halloween! FW is obviously the best if lots of trick or treating is important to you. The Values and Moderates all have trick or treating and lots of costumes, but nothing else particularly special.

But I would say WL is my favorite - they fill their entire outdoor space with a ton of activity/game stations and each game results in candy. It's so much fun, and feels a lot more organized. Everyone still wears costumes, but they really fill up the whole evening with activities and you can spend hours there.

Contemporary and Poly both have more of a party atmosphere after dark - lots of lights and glow stuff, costume contests, dancing, super loud music. Very crowded and hectic. I'm sure it's fun if you like that kind of thing, but it was way too much for me.

GF is another one that is really cool, they have some cool photo ops and go spooky, filling the courtyard with fog machines and lots of candy stations inside and outside. Quiet and a little creepy (but not in a scary way at all).

I would personally hit WL first, then maybe hop on the monorail and stop at those 3 resorts too, if you have time. They're all fun!P1480315~2.JPGP1480271~2.JPGP1480207~2.JPGP1480422~2.JPG

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of info I was hoping for!
