I adore him, too. I've actually had weird encounters with him, and it's always very random - like, I went to see a band I like, and he was there the same night. Or, I went to the casino, and he was there too. Or, I meet an old friend, we talk about our careers, and somehow the topic turns to how she cleans Topher's teeth.


He's originally from Darien, CT and his parents still live here, though he lives in LA. (Incidentally, my friend has cleaned his mom's teeth, too. ) She says he's really such a regular guy, she didn't know he was "someone" until one of her co-workers told her. She said his style isn't that far off from Eric Foreman's, he's kind of shy, but also has a very funny side. And he doesn't wear a hat to go to the dentist.

I love Anderson! I emailed him the other day and at first I got the standard auto response saying he can't respond to all emails, but thanks for writing blah, blah....

I am not too embarrassed to admit that Johnny Depp sends my heart a flutter -- but also Bill Pullman. I've had a little crush on him after "While you were sleeping." It was the way he looked at Sandra....

ITA about Bill Pullman. I don't have a crush on him anymore but at the time, that movie really did it for me. Yes, it was something about the "look."
I also used to have a crush on Paul Rudd after seeing him in Clueless. I just thought he was so sweet and adorable. My friends thought I was nuts.
And I still have a bit of a crush on David Schwimmer...Ross from Friends. I seem to always go for the nerdy, underdog type guys. Guys like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt just don't do it for me. But David Schwimmer...oh my heart be still! DH thinks he acts gay, but I still love him...although I have never confessed that to my husband since he says he acts gay. He would never let me live it down!

I feel like I have had a spiritual cleansing...LOL!

LOL I saw - what was it....."Mr. Right" or "Mr.Perfect" or something like that (with Ellen DeGeneres) <i>after</i> I saw "While You Were Sleeping" and it put a little dent in my crush! Gotta give him credit as an actor- he seemed like a really creepy creep in that movie!!

Besides my obsession with Alan Rickman, some other unlikely crushes I have:

David Letterman
Peter Jennings
Howard Stern

Of course, I'm also wild about Chris Noth, John Corbit and Colin Firth, but I don't think anyone would be laughing over my crush on them. Most people would say they have a crush on them too.

The problem is that at my age, they are mostly all unlikely candidates -- It's weird when you start feeling like you are robbing the cradle!!!! I think Bill Pullman is not too much younger than me, but when I start thinking someone like Ashton is hot (which he is, no doubt about it,) I start thinking about how close he is in age to DD...and well, good for you Demi, but I feel a little bit like a sicko!
