If so, what are you getting them for Christmas? The girls will be 3 months away from being 3 years old. They have every hand me down from their older brother and let me tell you, as the first grandchild on both sides he pretty much got every toy out there. My mom is giving them dolls with strollers and doll beds. The only thing they really show an interest in is animals. But they play with all their toys. They have every Fisher-Price little people set ever made I think. Help! I have no idea what to get them!!!!!!!!!

Our 2 year old is really starting to get into dramatic play. She has a kitchen set, and loves to "make us dinner". :goodvibes
For Christmas, we got her the Fisher Price "My First Dollhouse". We also got her some of the stuff you mentioned, the doll, stroller, carseat, etc.

the best thing we ever got our daughter was a wooden farm, she got it for her 2nd birthday and we have added about 100 (i kid you not!!!) animals to it over the last 18 months :lmao: (mostly lovely cheap ones :rotfl:)

she LOVES this, and is actually sitting as we speak in the playroom playing with her animals.

it's a great toy and she loves getting new additions.

she also uses the animals with her toy houses etc

this isn't the exact one, but it's pretty close

My DS will be 4 months shy of 3 at Christmas. He is also starting to get into imagination play a lot more. I wanted to get him a kitchen but just can't settle on the one I want. I am leaning towards it for his birthday but if I find the one I want I'll get him that.

So far I have:
Radio Flyer Big Trike
Play Dough Kitchen Set (He LOVES play dough)
A 120 piece train set for his train table
Two major Thomas the Train pieces and four additional Thomas trains
A bunch of crayola coloring products, crayons and coloring pads in Thomas, Backyardigans and Cars.
The game Memory

We are looking for a few other things to round it out. Perhaps a few Lego Duplo pieces or the kitchen if I can find one I want at a reasonable price. The best thing is I bought everything on awesome sales and am only at about $105 so far for everything!!

The girl toys seems so much better than the boy toys at this age!!

Do you have a play kitchen? What about the play cleaning supplies? Do they like to help you with that? The play nursery sets for their dolls with the strollers/highchairs and stuff?

do they have a play house or play kitchen? what about the Learning Home? all of those have been HUGE hits with my kids.

Yeah, they have my kitchen set my dad made me when I was their age. They also have dollhouses. That farm is awesome and I think they would like that. Calico Critters look intresting too. They make the biggest mess with play doh but maybe if they had some toys to play with it.

I have a 26 month old and he is really into playing music and art supplies. He loves Playdoh and finger paints. How about an easel with various washable supplies? Or a new plastic bin or basket filled with instruments?

He also strangely enough loves cleaning supplies. So he has a broom set that talks and is getting a kids vacuum that whirls around little bits of glitter and plastic balls.

Another vote for Calico Critters- she has played with ones in toy stores and LOVED them! She also asked for a shopping cart??( where did that come from) dress up shoes, - and a Smart Cycle I found at a consignment sale - oh and that new Prescious Places Castle set thing.--her birthday is Dec 27- and she'll get a spring horse to ride on in the basement.

I have a 2 yo. So far, we got her Tag Junior, Little Tikes Shopping Cart, and several Snap n Style Dolls and accessories. I will probably fill in with some Mickey Mouse stuff. She gets all the hand-me down toys from her brother and sister like Thomas and play kitchens and electronic games (not yet, but soon).

BTW, my ds is the biggest Invader Zim fan!

A couple of years ago from c-mas we got our girls this HUGE kitchen play set. I think it was about $250 or so, but they LOVED it. Its in the basement collecting dust now...... Nothing lasts with little ones!

dd2 is almost 3 but this is what we got her for xmas this year...

v-tech cyber pocket/ mickey mouse clubhouse game, winnie the pooh game and little einstiens game.
3 Little pony sets
Little einsteins v-tech laptop
Mickey mouse magic choochoo train
Dress up Minnie mouse that comes with 4-5 outfits and shoes:lovestruc
Daisy duck to go with dress up Minnie
Little mermaid boombox cd player thing with play cds
Mickey mouse clubhouse dvd
Mickey mouse xmas cd
Little einstein dvd
Mickey mouse clubhouse toddler bedding and decal stickers for the wall
Pjs and minnie mouse mat for the kitchen table
Oh, and a pkg. of hotwheels cars cause she won't keep her hands of her brothers and a pkg. of xmas erasers for the same reason LOL!

We did the kitchen last year...she loved it!

She too, gets all the past kids handmedown toys (whatever is still intact) We have about every little people set and play food up the butt. She likes to play with their Littlest Petshop stuff. The girls were never into dolls or barbies, they have them but never really took to them.

When our twins were that age they LOVED Beanie Babies--they played with those things ALL the time. DD still likes stuffed animals. They also loved puzzles--the big floor sized ones especially. I also bought them a box full of Halloween Costumes on clearance that year and those got played with for YEARS-we still have some and they end up as a Halloween Costume every once in a while. DS17 loved Tinker Toys at that age.

One of his creations--we put this in his marching band program one year :lmao:

DD also has a lot of her brother's hand-me-down toys that she will be gifted with, so we are buying her mostly non-toy things:

-An electric toothbrush of her very own
-A pink fleece bathrobe
-A couple of outfits for her baby doll
-A bed tent

I know she would love a toy kitchen, but we just don't have space for something like that. She'll have to make do with the real one, I suppose. :-)

A tent would be cool, they would love that! Good ideas here people, thanks!

DD2 is our 4th child, she has TONS of toys. She loves Mickey and Minnie. She doesn't remember her first trip to DW, but she saw Cinderella's Castle on tv and fell in love. So, she is getting the castle, a stuffed, baby Minnie, and a stuffed dog set that comes with a carrier and stroller (posh pets or something) from Santa. From us, she's getting Snow White vacuum and cleaning set (she loves to "cleany, cleany"), accessories for her dollhouse, and a Tinkerbell 3-wheel scooter. Her sibling gift is a Littlest Pet Shop set. And, of course, books and clothes. She has asked for much more. By asking, I mean she points to something and says, "That's mine!"

Magna Doodle and Tea Set. I'm sure they have that already.

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who loves anything Disney Princess and she loves to play dress up and play music.

We got her this.

It is a Disney Princess vanity that also has a piano and all the "makeup" pieces are also musical instruments! I think she is going to love it! :lovestruc
