Do you HATE cats!?!?

I love cats, my two have different personalities. Cheeky is a peoples cat, sits on peoples knees, purs and does the whole cute cat thing. We even used Cheeky in a play at our theatre where he managed to upstage the lead character by turning around and purring at the audience down his radio microphone!!. Figaro is shy but very loyal and definately my cat! My house does not smell, they are fed in the garage and vary rarely use the litter tray as they are indoor and outdoor cats (extremily safe where I live, they are both nutered and have vets checks every 6 months). Both my cats are very friendly and vary caring. I also have 3 rabbits and the cats will often sit with the bunnies in their run and clean them. The bunnies will also sit and lick the cats!!

Now dogs on the other hand I am scared of (I was attacked when I was little.) I don't dislike dogs, I am just wary of them.

Overall, I prefer dogs. I used to really dislike cats when I was younger, but, over the years, I have met quite a few cats with a lot of personality that have changed my mind.

Now I kind of like them. I wouldn't have one now, because I have an old dog who would probably stroke out if I brought a cat into the house, but wouldn't be opposed to one in future if there was one that really needed a home and my Ted is gone on to the Rainbow Bridge.

There are way too many people generalizing on this thread IMO. It's like saying that all who post pointless threads are trolls or all of those who have dogs have stinky yards. I don't think that any of those are necessarily true.

By the way, there are plenty of dogs that shed like crazy too. All of these critters just need to be brushed and no more problems. Well, at least not that many. ;)

So true. :) I have two collies, so believe me I KNOW about shedding hair! :rotfl: All pets need to be taken care of properly, groomed, well-fed, vet apts. and cleaned-up after, all those decrease the chance you'll have a stinky, dirty hairy house! I love my dogs  :dogdance: :dogdance: and couldn't imagine not ever having one in my life. Ok, so once in a while they smell(especially when caught in the rain-nothing like wet-dog smell) so I give them a bath. If they poop in the yard, I clean it up. If they shed, I vacumn. If you are going to own a pet that is all part of the package, but pet- lovers think it is well worth it for the unconditional love they receive in return. Love your pets, take care of them and they'll love you, not a bad deal! :grouphug:

I would take a cat over many people I have come across!

I have 2 (up until 3 weeks ago today...3) and my house smells fine. I vacuum every day (would anyway) scoop the litter 2x daily and they are loved. They make this house a home...

I don't much trust anyone who dislikes any kind of animal...sorry :confused3

I only hate my cat every morning at 3am when she screams at me to wake up & pet her.

Otherwise, I love her very much. :lovestruc

She'll be 18 yrs old in October. :cat:

I don't hate cats....we have one indoor one, and he smells peachy keen. His litter box doesn't stink, because we take care of it! :thumbsup2

I love all animals
I have both cats and dogs and I think they make me happy in different ways but I know alot of people prefer one or the other
