Do you go to the park with morning EMH?

we're going to WDW 12/10-18 and staying at WLV. It's value season. I've seen conflicting recommendations about whether to go to the park with EMH or not.

we were last there memorial day week 2003 so it was pretty crowded. we hit EMH and the parks hard until 12pm nap times. our kids will be able to keep going until 2 maybe later before napping.

Since we'll be in the first park of the day for longer than last time and (hopefully!) with smaller crowds should we be rethinking this strategy?

We try to avoid the park with the EMH that am. We are going in Jan...first time in the Value season. We usually go regular season and it is crowded the mornings of the extra hour. Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Unless you are going to EMH, then I'd avoid the EMH park if at all possible. The great thing about being at a park at regular opening is that first hr w/ virtually no lines. W/ EMH lines are already formed when you get there at regular opening.

We usually hit the EMH-AM park, but this works only because we can Park Hop and plan on leaving by noon at the latest. You do NOT want to stay all day at the EMH-AM park. We have had some success with going to yesterday's EMH-AM park, but not enough to offset the extra hour.

Also, I find that EMH-AM is works best in this order: MK, MGM, EP, AK. This is primarily due to how spread out (or not spread out) that a park is. For example, if you go to KS at AK, by the time you get there and ride and get back to the center of the park, crowds are starting to form. But you can do a 'Dumbo-to-Snow-White-to-Peter-Pan-to-Philharmagic' trot with only a minute or so between attractions.

IMHO - YMMV

We use park hopper tickets, so we always go to MK when it has morning EMH, and then leave at lunchtime and spend the rest of that day at Epcot or MGM. We usually take advantage of morning EMH at Animal Kingdom too, because we can be out of there around noon and go to another park that day or spend some time at the pool and then go to a park that night for fireworks. As far as morning EMH's go, we've never had the mornings be nearly as crowded as the afternoons.
