Do You Gift All Your Co-Workers?

We all draw names for each other and go in together for a gift for our boss.

Here's something a co-worker of mine did--she made cards (she was a "crafty" type person) and included a scratch-off lottery ticket. Several people actually did win small amounts, usually under $10, but one lucky guy wone $1000! Bet she wished she kept that one!

We have about 50 people in our department. I have a special few that I exchange gifts with, and for the rest just bring in a box or two of cookies, chocolates, etc., one for day shift, one for nights. Most people only work three days a week, so if they are there when I bring it they eat it, and if not, oh well!

We did secret santa last year so I just bought one gift. This year I don't think we are doing that. I'm making a batch of cookies and chocolate covered pretzels for my family and other friends, so I'll just probably bring a plate of them in for everyone in the office.

My husband buys wreaths for all of his employess and gave them to them on friday so they could enjoy them druing the season..

There are too many people here to do something for everyone....I don't want anyone to feel left out so, a couple coworkers and I bake for christmas and make up four trays of goodies (one for each nurses station, one for the employee break room, and one for administration, and one for the late shift)

I try and stay under $5.00 for gifts because I have lots of co-workers.... I always go to the St. Louis Mills mall and visit the Granny store, where everything is $3.00. They have really nice looking things for $3.00 apiece. This is their website:

Have fun shopping....

MayMom, what a cool site. I just emailed it to my mom--she loves to shop on line and to feel shes found neat stuff for a bargin! Thanks for the heads up.

At our office, we have an ornament exchange (everyone agreed to this last year and again this year.) Someone volunteers their home to have our "gathering" at....(this year it's mine!! aaarrrrggghhh!) and then we do a Dirty Santa draw. It's a lot of fun and it's just the girls (6) in the office.

We all just decided that we didn't need any more candle, bath & body works lotions, or other knick-knacks. We have alot of fun doing it too. Everyone brings something, we have a glass of wine or two, kick back and relax for an evening. :drinking1
