Do you get to work - ontime, early or late?

Most of the time I am either right on time or a couple of minutes late. I have always had a problem w/ lateness--I really try, but just can't seem to be on time on a regular basis. I have gotten much better, but still have room for improvement!

Luckily, my work knows I will be there, so they overlook the 2 or 3 minutes. I have been here 2 years and have only called saying I wasn't coming in 1 time and that was when it snowed.

Ok I admit it, I am late to work most days. Usually about 5-15 minutes.

I'm on salary and I could be late every day for the next 10 years and I have already made up my time.

In the summer I get there about 5 minutes early. During the school year I drop of DS and then go right to work so I get there about 15-20 minutes early.

I am always early, sometimes too early. I can't stand being late and hate waiting for people who are late. Luckily DH feels the same way.

It is a lot harder to get to where we are going on time with two small kids, but we still manage.

I am usually at least 10 minutes early to work every day. I like to have a little time to unwind ... and DIS before work.

Denae

During the school year, I'm usually 20-30 minutes early. I usually stay 20 minutes late or so. The kids come to the daycare where I work then.

In the summer we had a college student babysit at our house, so I'm was usually within 5 minutes of the start and end time, since she was usually not early.

Wow. You guys are an inspiration. I'm ALWAYS late. No matter where I go. I try so hard not to be, but that just the way it is.

LATE.....sorry....I'm NOT a morning person and my boss understands that....so I typically get here between 9:00 and 9:15...pull my 7 1/2 then go home or go to school depending on my schedule.

My uncle's dad was a VP at a large corp in Dallas. When they moved into their new HQ, he talked to the maintenance/gardeners about the water sprinklers. He had all the sprinklers around the door entrances to go off at 8:05am. Work started at 8:00am sharp.

At 8:15 to 8:20 he would walk around to see who was "wet". That was how he knew who was late or not.

He figured that if he could get there on time then everyone else should be able too. If something unusual happened, car broke, large accident, sick child, etc then it was ok. Too tired, alarm didn't go off was not accepted.

I'm glad I never had to work for him.

I am early/on-time most of the time. I have probably been "late"
twice in the past 20 years.:D

I'm usually about 5 minutes late but I also go to the post office on my own time and stay 10-15 minutes late. Since I work alone it really doesn't matter when I get there.

I generally arrive for babysitting jobs early or right on time.
When I work for my dad (all this summer) I am generally late. As much as 35 mins late. I think there was one day that I was on time and that was the first day. He thinks it's funny:rolleyes: . He's only just begun to catch on that we're not morning people, and we've been spending every other weekend at his house for the past 9 years. I do manage to make it to school really early though, but that's only so I can get a parking space and not have to walk a mile from the lower lot.

Early. They MAKE us clock in early and work early but we don't get paid for it. When I protested this new little idea, I got told "It's your job. You can leave if you want." Suffice to say, I haven't left because I have no choice but to stay. I will be moving to the states soon and no place is going to hire me for maybe a month.

I am early for everything.
I hate it when people are late.

I do my best to get there early. I also used to stay late, but now that I have a 2nd job to get to quickly I can't do that anymore.

I am supose to clock in at 9am, I useually get there at 8:59 unless there is a wrek on the expresway, in wich case I forget to clock in for the day

long post

I am late everyday!!!! I pretty much make my own schedule, but I never get to work at the time I want to be there. Oh well, maybe I'll do better on Tuesday - I doubt it!!!;)

I'm lucky as I don't really have a set time to be to work. Technically, my hours are 9-5, but I can go in when I want, and leave early or stay late if need be. We used to have rigid hours, but I convinced my boss that I, and the guys I supervise, could get the job done with minimal supervision on her part. We used to have to get permission for any schedule deviation, and it was as much a pain for her as us.

I work 930-5
I often arrive at 926- leave my house at 920

I'm always early - usually by an hour or so. I can get more done in that hour then I sometimes get done the rest of the day (between meetings and such). When we aren't busy I'll use that time to DIS (we can do it before work, at lunch, and after work). So on those days I'm there if needed but can still have a little extra "me" time.
