Do you get more inventory depositing points with II?

I’ve looked at there inventory to exchange with and its not to good. Do you get more choices if you deposit points with them? How many points do you deposit? With RCI you used to get switched to they’re site and book with no problem. Why did they switch? I’ll guess I’ll try tomorrow to call MS and look like Rip Van Winkle when I’m done.

Generally with a broker like II (or RCI), the stuff that is sitting out available is never going to be "the good stuff."

Others who are experienced in playing the timeshare game know to set up searches and requests well ahead of time for what they are looking for, so when it matches, it doesn't show up in the available pool of exchanges that you are looking at.

It is also true that Marriotts have a built in priority when trading for other Marriotts. So a villa at the Marriott in Kauai might have been deposited last week but it won't show up for a non-Marriott owner until a month or so has gone by.

So unless you are looking for something easy (HHI in Dec or January for example), you will often need to plan ahead and request what you want a year or so in advance and see how it goes.

If you pay for a membership at TUG, there is a sightings board that lets you know when something interesting is available (and those usually disappear quickly). That is how I traded my unbranded NC timeshare for the Marriott in Kauai a few years ago...
