I really want to book thru Universal vacations for their 4 nights with 2 passes package and have a loews blue card but did not know if it is considered a discount room therefore no welcome amenities.

Anyone booked thru Universal vacations and got their amenities?

Thanks :cool1:

We did the Univer. Vac. two years ago.......stayed 7 nights. We got the milk & cookies w/no problem but trying to get our nights to count towards the next Loew's level was another story. I had to fax a copy of our receipt and explanation to Loew's for them to review. It was then explained to me that although RPR IS a Loew's property and IS at Universal, Loew's IS NOT connected w/ Universal Vacations and therefore the 7 nights SHOULD NOT count towards my next level of membership.....HOWEVER, we WILL make an exception and allow the 7 nights to count.........WHEW!!! Talk about a bunch of confusion!! As far as the welcome amenities? We got ours w/no problem......but others haven't. :confused3 Just make sure your member. # is on your reservation. Good luck and have a great stay!

Actualy Loews has a package that is exactly what you describe:

Rate Description:
STAY 4, PLAY FREE! Two UO Theme Park Bonus Passes Included! Not combinable with other discounts or offers

Since its bookable on "their" website it would be a qualifying rate. Give a cal to make sure first.

We booked through Universal Vacations last year. We got the welcome gift and I was upgrade to Loew's Gold, so the stay counted toward the points.

I e-mailed Loews First last week with that same question and was told that booking through Universal vacations did not qualify for the Loews First benefits. Not sure if I was given wrong info or not.

It seems to me that it just depends on who you talk to. I booked three rooms at the HR and was told I would need one AP for each room, yet someone else on this board was told they could book two rooms (for children) on one AP. I was also told that I could not receive any of my Loews benefits by booking at this rate, and I finally reached Gold status too! In the past when using the ET rate I was told the same, yet I did receive my welcome goodies.

I remember calling Loews last year and ask why I was not being upgraded to Gold status after three stays at the Royal Pacific. I was told that I needed to have so many (I forgot now how many) CONSECTIVE stays which I did not have. Ended up getting the Gold card in the mail shortly after!

I booked HRH hotel at an APH rate. Was told I couldn't get loews points or benefits. No welcome gift, no gym, no nothing. Not happy.
