Thanks to all who responded to my earlier posts today-I think my DH and I are going to switch our reservation in August to Poly from POR. I never thought about it until now, but do they give you "leis" when you check in? Also-now we're contemplating room requests: If we want a good monorail view-where do we want to be? If we went a different route and wanted a view of the volcano pool-where do we want to be? We're talking a garden room, so any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!!

Amy

We just had Room 1315 at Fiji - Garden view, first floor, patio, non-smoking . We had a view of the marina and the the volcano of the pool (the back of it, not the pool itself)... It was right next to the Great Ceremonial HOuse and an awesome location. Maybe that helps you guys...

They were giving out leis too! :)

And eat at Ohana. It's a must. Just trust me, if you like meat, this is the place. ;)

We had a great garden view from the tokelau bldg and this was central to all locations. You get leid right before they take you to your room in a golf cart. Have desert at the Kona Cafe it is GREAT...................

We were there a couple weeks ago....stayed concierge........didn't get lei'd:rolleyes:

I was VERY dissapointed because everyone else I saw come to the concierge desk had lei's on. :(

I know, I know, it was something small....but I thought it was something they did all the time

Liv2CdWorld, I would be sad too if my family didn't get a lei! Especially staying in concierge!! Did you mention it to any of the staff? What time of the day did you check in? We will be there in July, in concierge, and I will be looking for my lei!!:Pinkbounc

We didn't get leis on our 1st trip to the Poly so when we checked in for our 2nd trip, I asked at checkin how we could get them. They directed me to a desk to the right of the check in area -- can't remember what it was called -- possibly tours?? (if you were coming in the front door it would be immediately to your left). I asked the woman sitting there and she produced a lei for each of us.

I believe that's the "Guest Services" desk. We got leis when we were there this January.

No, didn't mention it. We didn't stay there long enough. We transfered to WL Concierge.

No- didn't get lei'd on our first trip- I did go up to the desk and they said they were only offered upon check-in. Will be going in a few weeks and will hope to get it this time around!!
