Do you get home sick on vacation

years ago maybe a little from time to time, maybe at night, but last 10 years I just get depressed when my time is winding down

As long as my trip is a week or less I’m Ok. After that I miss my bed and my homemade meals.

Only last year when we went on a cruise to Alaska. My older DD was due to give birth and did while I was gone. Other than that, I don't get homesick on vacation.

I used to when my dogs were alive but the last two vacations since they passed no homesickness.

I loved vacations before we got our dog and never felt a bit of homesickness. I actually would start to feel sad as the trip was ending. We’ve had the dog 6 years now and this sounds ridiculous, but I worry she thinks we abandoned her. I never thought I would feel that way. Making it even more ridiculous is that she goes to my sister’s house. She has a playmate there and is unbelievably excited to go there when we drop her off.

Never homesick. I love getting away and if where I'm going isn't better than where I already am, I don't bother. What does happen a lot though is that I wish certain people were with me. It's kind of random but when I see or do something on holidays I just know a friend or family member would enjoy, I can't help think how much more fun it would be if we were doing it together.

I miss my one cat. Not my other cat or my dogs, just the one cat. I usually change my lock screen to be his photo which helps.

Not for the first while, but I do miss my bed, shower and making my own food. And since DH likes to go, go go on vacations, I miss just staying home and doing nothing. Doing nothing is under rated!
