Do you get enough sleep?

I know I don't.

I do best with 8 hours, but I can't recall the last time I got that much sleep during the week. DH and I both have hour-long commutes. The alarm goes off at 5:30 AM so that we can get in a half-hour walk. I'm usually asleep by 11:30, unless it's one of those nights when my brain refuses to shut down.

I'm so conditioned to get up early that I am lucky to get 7 hours on the weekend.

NO. I get about 4-5 hours of sleep each night if I am lucky.

Rarely. I will occasionally get to bed on a weeknight between 9:30-10:00, but even still, I don't fall asleep immediately. I get up around 5:45am, so when I get to bed at my normal time, which is 11, I get 6.75 hours of sleep....well, not really because I don't usually fall asleep until almost midnight, so usually only 6.

I think I definitely get enough sleep. We put the kids to bed at 8PM, and usually watch tv in our room after that. I am almost always asleep before 9:30, and sleep until 6 on weekdays, 7 or 7:30 on the weekends. We all need our beauty rest, and I make sure we all get it.

depends on who I fought with that night :teeth:

I haven't had much uninterruped sleep in the past 3 months! Baby is 12 weeks old and still gets up once per night to eat.

We're getting into a nice schedule though - DS (baby) goes to bed around 6:30, DD4 at 8:00, watch TV until about 10 PM and up at 5:30 AM. Any more than 7-8 hours for me really makes me tired all day. DH only sleeps for about 6 hours.

I get about 5 hours of sleep per night. My body has conditioned itself to that so that no matter what time I go to bed, I wake up approximately 5 hours later. I really need more sleep, but I'm a night owl. It doesn't help that I have to wake up early for work.

That's my problem: I am a natural night owl who has trained herself to get up early. I wish I could drive to work without yawning 100 times.

I usually do. Go to bed around 9:30-10 and fall asleep around 11 and get up by 6:45. Lately though nothing is enough sleep. I am starting to get into the exhaustation and m/s phase I think.

I got to bed and read from about 8:00 - 8:45. I then turn off the light. I think it probably takes me another 30 minutes to nod of. So let's say I get to sleep at 9:30. Alarm goes off at 4:45 a.m. That is 7 hours and 15 minutes. Why don't I feel rested?

No, I don't, but it's mostly my own fault. I could (and should) go to bed earlier than I do, but I end up staying up later than I need to watching TV or something.

I hear you. "Adult Swim" is my weakness.

I like at least eight hours and have no problem sleeping nine or ten at times. I'm not a morning person... very much not a morning person, so I stay up late and get my best sleep between six and nine in the morning. Being retired, I can enjoy this most days, but there are a few days I have to get up earlier to play with one of the many music groups I play with. Then, I enjoy an afternoon nap. Naps are good!

I only got about 4 hours last night. Defiinitely not enough.

Depends on if I'm playing bedroom golf or not! :teeth:

Fortunately I conditioned my self to not only be an early riser, but a early sleeper. I get up at 4:30 to hit the gym, but am always in bed, ten toes up and sawing logs by 9pm.

Biggest drawback is on weekends when we want to go out and paint the town red. I suck down enough energy drinks to to give a bull elephant the jitters!

Usually, luckily for me my kids aren't early risers. I normally go to bed between 11:30-1:00 and sllep until 8:00 or 9:00.

Usually I get around 5 hours if that. I hate sleeping I always think about all the other things I could be doing besides sleeping. I never needed to sleep alot and feel rested. Last night I slept maybe an hour and a half if that then I needed to get up early to go to work. I feel pretty rested today. I was watching the big brother live feeds online all night I'm such an addict :happytv:

I need LOTS of sleep. 8 hours is the bare minimum I could get to function. Most work nights I get 8 1/2 hours. If I could get 9 hours I would feel better.

I also enjoy taking afternoon naps. I don't get to take them during the school year, but during the summers I nap when my kids do.

Actually, I wonder if I have chronic fatigue syndrome. I never feel like I could have "too much" sleep.

Wow, I am surprised to hear how many people do not get enough sleep. Weekends are the worst for me. Usually in bed by 9:30 and up by 3:00am! so that is about 5 1/2 hours. During the week I get more, but am still so tired. I am starting to exercise again, so I know I will feel more energized in general.
