For those of you who have kids in CCD do you get the teacher a gift? Its my daughter's first year so I wasn't sure.

We usually get a little something for them. For DD's teachers last year she picked out fleece throws (on sale ~ $10 each or less). This year she is giving them homemade candy

Yes I try to make it religious- but this year it's musical snowglobes(they are of a church though)

Her teacher actually told me this week that she is going for surgery and won't be there next week so luckily I think I have some time to pick something up. Thanks!

Yep - a gift card ($10 max), a cute ornament, Girl Scout tins (from Fall Product sales) or Boy Scout popcorn. It gets tricky with middle schoolers, though, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do this year.

I'm sure they would like a nice card with a note from you and your children.

I tought last year. There were about 20 kids in the class and 5 brought me gifts. Very sweet.

Not necessary and my feelings totally were not hurt by those who didn't.

The mix was homemade peppermint bark, other treats and one family gave me an ornament.

Keep it simple, sweet, and inexpensive.

My mom taught CCD for years and got the typical assortment of mugs, candles, candy, ornaments, gift cards etc.

I've been assisting for the past 5 years. Usually an assortment of little things.

Have had candy, little winter votives, starbuck's gc.

My kids eat the candy, hubby is a SB addict, I appreciate the cards. Just a nice reminder of why I am there.
