I think I am "addicted" to Goodwills. It is exciting to never know what you will find that you really don't need, but it's such a good bargain
Most things I can use though
and one of my very nice finds recently was a Q. Pottery Barn sheet set for $7.00 gently used. It is so "buttery soft" they are the only sheets my dh wants to use!! lucigo, I know what you mean about finding the $.99 fiestaware plate. One day I was just on time to find a complete blue set - priced separately for about $8.00 - had the small cups which I did not get - then one day found 10 plates for $.99 ea. I was so excited
I just love to mix & match colors at the table - so cheerful. I find lots of brand baby things for friends with tags, clothes for my sis & sis-in-law (in a state that has ratty Goodwills) and they can hardly believe it. Feel for those of you that don't have good ones - we have 8 within a reasonable distance from me and only one is on the ratty side and I don't go there ( not so good area to go to). Happy for you RadioMom for realizing what bargains you can find. I like to find decorative items for around the house and then I change things around more knowing it's not costing me an arm and leg
My husband laughs because I go in one door there (donations) then go in the other door and come out with a bag or two. but I tell him my thrifty habits enable our Disney habit
I have found very expensive handbags, sweaters, jackets, etc. that either have not been used or very little ( I could not afford the regular prices or I WOULD not pay those prices). Sorry this is long, but I could go on and on with all the good things I've found there - I tell my hubby it is "cheap therapy" for me to shop there
Mickey Mouse, here I come
