Do You Ever Say No to Babysitting Your Grandchild?

Don't feel guilty you can not always drop everything to babysit espically if there is not a valid reason to do so. I wish I was actually allowed the chance to babysit for my grandson. They live 10 minutes away and I am only allowed to see him for about 30 minutes once a month due to a very difficult DIL.

I agree with the other postings..don't feel guilty. I have a mother who is 75 yrs and health is not to good (plus lives 45 minutes away) and my in-laws don't babysit(we might get two dates a year) once in Jan and maybe in June for about 4 hours. We even have only one child and he is 5. Sometimes my month will drop when I hear other parents of young children say they are with grandma while they are grocery shopping or a small chore. My DS goes everywhere with my DH and I. He has learned alot of patience and to behave in doctor's offices etc.
Which we are very proud of him for that. :sunny:

don't feel guilty. i don't even have kids yet and my mom has already said no babysitting. :rotfl:
