Do you ever have fresh flowers in your home?

My DH bought some lovely double daffodils from the supermarket today - they have really brightened up the kitchen and dining room!

Last weekend he chose a bunch of pink tulips and a bunch of yellow tulips!

Do you have fresh flowers in your home?

yes, we love fresh flowers. I always buy flowers for my dd's when they appear in recitals, concerts and shows.

Once in a while I'll buy some when I go grocery shopping. They really brighten up the kitchen.

Yup!....almost every week!....especially during the winter ( when I buy 'em )....and during the summer....when we grow 'em!

Every payday, which is every other week, I buy fresh flowers. They really do brighten up the home.

I actually did, up until yesterday.
Due to a big fight last week, DH sent me some pretty spring flowers...but they died.

DH was in Iowa for work this past week, so when I went grocery shopping on Monday for my "comfort foods" I splurged on a big bouquet of spring flowers. When he got home I told him I bought them for myself since my husband doesn't buy flowers for me.
Maybe he'll get the hint now, ya think??? He occasionally buys me flowers for my birthday or something, but never "just because." His Dad buys his step-mom flowers every week!! I think that would be a little "too much" but 3-4 times a YEAR would sure be nice.

Oh yeah, back to the question....yes, I love having fresh flowers in the house. We have several lilac bushes and in the spring I have big bouquets of them in several rooms, they make the house smell so nice!!

I try to buy them every week. I think they make the house look brighter and they make me happy. I love to have fresh flowers on the kitchen table and in the dining room.

My ds will pick my roses and flowers I have in my tiny flower garden from time to time. It's so sweet when he brings them in to me. He hides them behind his back and then holds them out to me with a sweet smile on his face.

I don't suppose you mean dandelions and wild violets? Because that's what my girls give me, all summer long.
Actually, I have some roses and lilacs that I grow. I have them whenever I can.
I used to have roses of all my favorite colors. They were pruned a little much once or twice and now they are all a wild looking red climbing rose. They are still pretty.

Ahhhh that's nice, of course they count Serena!

We have a light pink lilac in our garden Chattyaholic, not as pretty as the lilac coloured bush, but as you say they really do make the house smell nice!

Sure! So far this year, I've had some lovely daffodils. Soon I will have tons of gladiolas, stargazers, lilies, liatris, tulips, irises, roses, hyacinth, allium, gardenias, phlox and dahlias. I rarely buy flowers anymore. I grow them. This year should yield a bumper crop....

Funny you should ask. We had DOZENS of roses in our home this weekend along with lillies, daisies, and various assorted filler flowers. DW Sue was doing wedding flowers for a HUGE wedding and, since she has to purchase roses in bundles of 25 from the wholesaler, she had lots left over. If I hadn't just sent our digital camera to New Jersey to get it repaired, I would have take a picture of one of the stunning arrangements that Sue made out of leftovers for our home.
