Do you ever get nervous about eBay purchases?

I've only purchased one thing on e-bay and when I received it it was not complete (parts missing). I returned it with no problem and then tried again. It was a car part for a fairly new German car that was built in Mexico and sold in North Carolina. It was a simple sun visor drivers side windshield. I quickly found out that German engineered, Mexican built auto, USA purchased could only be supplied from China. This was during the Pandemic when the west coast ports were shut down so it took two months to get it and it caused me a lot of concern since I had paid for it already. To their credit it did eventually arrive exactly as I needed and complete. I've had no other need since then.

I used to buy on EBay way back when it was basically just the world’s largest garage sale (before the stores and scammers). I never had any issues, but probably wouldn’t use it today unless I had no choice. It’s difficult enough weeding out the scammers on Amazon . . .
