Do you ever get inspired to cook things you see on FoodTv?

OMG!! After I took the BAR in July 2001 I was off work for 8 monhs. I was addicted to FoodTv. DH used to come home to gourmet cooked meals that I had seen on FoodTV. Emeril, Rachel Ray, Alton Brown, Jamie Oliver, Ina Garten, Bobby Flay, Sara Moulton. You name it and I probably tried something from them.

Some worked really well and others didn't.

But the show I got the absolute best recipe from was Food 911 with Tyler Florence. I still make his Chicken and Dumplings at least one a month during the winter. It's a little time consuming but so worth the effort.

We try recipes from FoodTV often and especially like Rachel and Paula's. My DH thinks Rachel is cute ;) . We've liked everything so far except Paula's baked mac and cheese. It looked good and smelled good but was lacking in flavor. Try Paula's Gorilla Bread, yummmy!!!

My DH has made a few things from foodtv. He does Alton Brown's rib recipe (yummy!!!!) and Jamie Oliver's curry. He also makes Emeril's smoked Salmon cheesecake (you use it as an appetizer) for parties.

I've made quite a lot of Emeril's, Rachel Ray, Bobby Flay and Sara Moulton, but I've probably done more of Tyler Florence's from his series "Tyler's Ultimate." His episodes on the Ultimate Beef Stew, Roast Chicken, Chicken Soup and Paella all had me running to the store the minute the show was over. And, everything I made was unbelievably delicious!
