Do you ever get apprehensive?

I love getting away from it all. What ever is going to happen it going to happen. When a relative was sick I had a sister that kept asking, How can you go? What happens if something should happen while your gone? For about five years in a row.

You can't stop your life for what ifs!

We purchase trip insurance; so if something actually happens that would force us to travel home in the middle of the cruise we are covered.

I love to go into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness for a week. You don't know what being away from it all is unless you are on a trip like this. Even on a cruise if you give every one of importance the Disney Cruise Line phone number, ship you are cruising on, and stateroom number; people can get hold of you in case of emergencies. Which can happen but unlikely.

Nope, not apprehensive at all! I have a very stressful job where I need to be accessible to my staff and physicians at all times. I love that I'm forced to disconnect on a cruise.;)

Love love love being disconnected. Tired of hearing about all of the crime in Los Angeles. My vacations allow me to live in the moment and not worry about email, texts, news, etc. My longest trip was the thirty days I spent in Africa; checked in maybe once during that time.

I am actually having the opposite issue, I am getting apprehensive because we are discussing an Alaskan cruise. In Alaska there will be times where we can check our emails, texts, etc... It will be very tempting to look at my phone but I will try not to. The best part of cruising is being disconnected and not knowing what is going on.

Put the phone in the safe at the beginning of the cruise and take it out the last day! :) You'll probably forget about the temptation soon.

I did this at WDW one time. Except it wasn't in a safe. It was at Bahama Breeze. :rolleyes1

I guess I wasn't tempted, because I didn't realize it until Friday, and I left it there on Sunday.
