I was just sitting here thinking about a response I made to a thread today where I said I have known DH for 22 years. Then I got to thinking, that can't be right because I would have only been 10. Then I got to thinking that I wasn't 10, I was 13, and I am not 32, I'm 35.

What's up with that? Please tell me I'm not the only one. Am I just forgetful, or is it wishful thinking? :confused3 Maybe the :drinking1 has killed all those brain cells.

No, but I would like to forget
can i subtract 10 years?

All the time. I have no problem remembering my husband's age though, so I just subtract 2 from that and have my answer. :thumbsup2 I can't believe I'm admitting how blonde I am. :rotfl:

There are times when someone asks my age I have to pause and think about it.

OMG yes! I was talking to someone recently about being 32 when it was brough to my attention that I am actually 34! I was shocked! I think time is just going by so quickly that I can't keep track of it, or maybe I'm in denial. DH is 35, so sometimes I just ask him how old he is & subtract 1. :lmao:

I always have a tendency to think I'm older than I really am. My birthday is in June--this year, in April, I told someone I was 43. I was actually STILL 42. WTH?? I'm definately past the age of saying, "I'm 42 and 3/4!"

There are a lot of times I really have to stop and think about it if someone asks my age. Which kind of makes it look like I'm trying to think up a lie. :rotfl2:

Yep, except I always age myself older by one year. :confused3 Which actually isn't so bad because then when I turn a year older I'm not that upset and pleasantly surprised when I remember I'm a year younger. :upsidedow

Well, we can't remember our ages, but we can add and subtract with the best of them! :rotfl:

I rarely remember how old I am. Once I hit my mid-30s, it ceased being something I ever thought about. So when someone asks, I always have to stop and figure it out.

It's just not something that's important to me. Not for now, anyway. Once I get closer to retirement, then it'll matter a lot!! I'll probably know how many days I have to go before I get to retirement age by then!

Yes, quite often! I always have to stop, think and do some mental math in my head. I was born in 1961, so I think of what year this is(2006) and subtract 1 from the 6 and then remember that I'm 45. My DD's think it's so funny that I can't remember.

I don't seem to have trouble remembering my age, but I tend to tell people that my birthday is July 27th when it's really the 26th. And it's not like I was born late in the day on the 26th. I was born at 4:37 in the morning.

Yep, I have to "do the math" every now and then too.

And to think, I used to pick on my Dad when he'd forget how old I was. Now I've become him! :lmao: :lmao:

I keep thinking I'm 36 when I will actually be turning 38 :faint: in 2 weeks.

The whole year I was 35,I told people I was 36. Imagine my surprise when I saw 36 candles on my birthday cake

I forget how old I am all of the time! I blame it partly on Mommy Brain. I have to call my neighbor(we grew up together) sometimes to ask her how old we are! I'm glad I'm not alone! :rotfl:

I've been doing the math for my age for nearly a decade now. I've also had to do the math for number of years married more than a few times.

Family and friends won't let since I was stupid enough to mention that I dreaded turning 50 in January. Sure hate that number right now.
