Do you ever feel older than you actually are?

I think with me, there's times I act my age, and then others when I act a lot more mature then other kids my age.

I'm not into the whole drinking, smoking, drugs, sex with every boy scene.
I don't have to go out every single night, and I find 'ridding around' so boring!
I would much rather stay in on Friday nights with my family, then going out with a bunch of other kids.

Not just that kind of stuff but it's how I act also..
I don't feel the need to be the loudest person every where I go,
and I watch other people my age, make a complete fool out of their selves,
and in their eyes they think they look "cool" (whatever that is)

I do know how to have fun, without being a nuisance to everyone around.

I spend my Friday nights (well actually I spend every second of my non-school life) with my horse. By the time I've finished lugging around haynets, water buckets, wheelbarrows, ridden and had a few cuddles and some slobber from my pony all I want to do is bath and eat which usually leaves me with no time to go out. I feel so lame when my friends ask me if I want to come out and that they'll buy me drink if I want and I'm like no sorry riding. The reckon my parents should look after it on a Friday night but it's MY horse and my parents aren't at all horsey so why should they have to look after it? Besides I'd much rather be hanging out with Comet than bunch of drunk/stoned people. I feel like a right loser sometimes.
As for the body, my back is crippled! I broke my tailbone 5 years ago and still haven't quite recovered from it. Plus I took a neat little tumble 2 weeks back and smacked onto my back causing it further damage and agony and just this Sunday I bent down to pick up my saddle and bam shooting pains all through my shoulder blade.

i was in econ the other day, and this girl was sitting behind me and telling this story:
she has a boyfriend.
she went to a party without boyfriend.
she got super drunk.
she stayed the night, passed out in some guys bed.
wakes up, has sex with bed owner.
he drives her home.
boyfriend doesn't know (but whole econ class does)

i was sitting there, thinking, wow. grow up.

ooh, another time, matt and i went to a mall, and it was full of middle schoolers running around unsupervised. we're talking boys who's balls haven't dropped yet giggling outside of the door of spencers and daring each other to go in.

yeah. then i feel old. when i'm complaining about how much i hate kids, i feel old.

I feel old compared to certain people. There are people in my year group at school who do so many stupid things and basically go out every Friday/Saturday and get drunk, sleep with boys they barely even know and then boast about it on Monday and think anyone that doesn't do this is lame. I also feel older in the way that where I live because there is a stereotype that people who don't live in England/Britain aren't familiar with, but basically t'is called 'Essex girls' who are blonde, fake, orange and easy whose only ambition in life is to be a WAG (marry a footballer). Shamefully, many people I am surrounded by live up to this stereotype, so I feel a lot more older in the way that I can see past that and want to aim high for myself.

I also enjoy staying in, a bottle of good red wine with a book, a nice hot bath and interesting conversation. I do still go out a lot, do the normal 'teen' stuff, but I can quite easily decide to stay at home and be alone with my thoughts.

Hey, I'm not gonna lie - I'd love to be a WAG. But only if I didn't have to socialize with other WAGs. It's a free pass to attend all the football games, you marry a talented guy, and you're set for life or a long time financially.

That's how I feel sometimes. Like I don't do any teenager like stuff...
And when I hang out with my friends we do really stupid stuff. Last year for my friends really belated birthday party.. we played pin the tail on the donkey and thought it was hilarious.
We act like 12 year olds sometimes. We act like 12 year olds who really love to talk about sex.

Especially the last two sentences! Though, I'm 13 so I'm really not that far off. Me and a couple of my friends have ridiculously perverted conversations. For the record, I'm not the one who starts them.

I've gotten to the point where I can't stand kids. All they seem to talk about now are Twilight, and every conversation involves a lot of 'oh em gees!'.

I guess I'm just over it, it's really starting to bother me.

yes...i do all the time. i'm 16 and i'm about to start college. most of the people i hang out with are 2-3 years older than me so i'm forced to act their age.

Nope! I feel like I'm 12....literally. Living away from home will do that to you! (at least it has for me). I feel like I can't do anything without help....gosh and I will be 21 this year! Yikes!!!

I'm gonna be 20 soon!! But on Monday I was at my BFs house and we were just hanging out and I was like....wow I feel like we're old and married already! haha.

I cannot STAND 90% of the teenage culture of right now, twilight, T.I/Soulja Boy/T-Pain/all of those poppy pseduo-hip hop acts ick, miley cyrus, the hills, tna clothes, abercrombie, pseudo-indie movies (ie; juno, little miss sunshine, nick & norah) all that stuff that's in among the 14-20 crowd just does NOT appeal to me.
I indulge in some hokey pop culture stuff every so often (ie; a jonas brothers concert lol) but generally, I stray away from that.

And I MUST say, you wouldn't believe all the aforementioned stuff I see on my university campus! haha.
I also definitely indulge in some typical teen activities, I like to go out clubbing and stuff. It's definitely fun & a good time.

So yes, sometimes I feel way older, but on the other hand sometimes I'll be doing something and think "WTH...I'm almost done my 2nd yr of university! I'm WAY too young for that!!!" haha

on a side note.....I'M ALMOST 20!!! wherrrre did the time go??!?!
