It seems that whenever I am in EPCOT or Animal Kingdom, I get the feeling that my time could better be spent somewhere else in the "world," like at the Magic Kingdom or Disney Studios those parks seem to produce more of the "magic" and "pixie dust" factor that I long for.

I really like EPCOT alot and I somewhat like the Animal Kingdom, but I find myself not taking my time to take everything in there....I somewhat hurry through those parks because I feel like I need to get onto the business of bigger and better things....i.e. Magic Kingdom and Disney Studios.

I always get the Ultimate Park Hopper passes because I love to be able to see everything and to come and go as I please between the parks. But I hop around so much because I feel like I'm constantly missing something if I don't!

I guess I just wish I could appreciate my time spent at EPCOT and AK more. Do you people ever get this feeling while you're there? Please share so I don't feel so goofy!

My favourite park is Epcot so I tend to spend most of my time there. I also love AK although don't tend to spend a great deal of time there.

::yes:: Time seems so short on our WDW vacations. I almost always feel like time could be better spent somewhere else. That "somewhere else" is MK because me, DW, and kids are all MK freaks:wave: . Sometimes I wish I could just chill out for a minute and enjoy the other parks. I am most likely to have this sensation in AK or Epcot. MGM -not so much.

I personally love all of the parks. I take each one for what it is. It is all Disney Magic in one way or another. Animal Kingdom; changing Central Florida into an area that looks like Africa. It could only be Disney to do that. I was standing looking at the Meercats and a couple of people around us were commenting on the fact that the area they are in looks us as it does in Africa.

No, we feel that way at MGM. It is not our favorite park, and if we had to skip one that would be it. MK is our absolute favorite because it just embodies all that Disney is. Our second favorite park is AK with Epcot following closely. I could go to WDW and only go into MGM for Fantasmic.

If my DH had his way, we'd skip the MK altogether. In fact, we did on one trip! We love Epcot and tend to spend most of our time in that park, but when I'm in the other three, I can honestly say I'm just glad I'm there. My problem is that I count down the days and the closer we are to the end, I tend to get sad that it'll soon be over and we'll be back home to the normal routine.

I'm not exactly like you, but I do understand. I love all the parks, and probably couldn't pick one to skiip if my life depended on it. My problem is that when I'm in one park, I'm thinking about what I could be doing at another. It's not soo bad now (because I've been going more often), and I'm glad. It made the trip go by too fast when I was always wishing for the next day to be at another park.

I know exactly what you mean!! Mostly we just get this feeling at Epcot, though. We rush right through and head to MK. We enjoy MGM and AK, but are always thinking about when we are going back to MK!! I have promised myself we will give Epcot another try this time.::yes::

I tend to be in love with all of the parks ....but my least favorite is AK...i spend less time here...

::yes:: My feelings exactly! We have MGM planned as a quick morning park this trip and then later in the week just for dinner and Fantasmic. There's not much at MGM that entertains us.

I feel like that in MGM. Except for Fantasmic and ToT. I love all the other parks especially MK and DTD. That's why when I plan, I leave lots of days for the activities that we love to do over and over so we can get our fill before we leave.

Animal Kingdom, yes, I definately feel this way. I only go to the AK so I feel like I've seen everything, or at least tried to. I actually like Epcot. It might not be as magical, but I still enjoy the different rides and attractions in it.

It's so funny how everyone's tastes are so different. I for one love Epcot and AK, I never feel like I have enough time there. MGM we didn't even go to on our last vist, although I do enjoy certain attractions there such as TOT, RNR, Walt's One Man's Dream, MuppetVision, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid, but whereas I get that Disney magical feeling just strolling through MK, AK and Epcot, I don't get that "feeling" at MGM. But really, is any amount of time "enough" time at WDW?:D

I think Epcot and AK are beautiful parks to look at. The tree of life is absolutely breathtaking. I love to sit or stand there and look at all the animals on the tree. I think the Tree of Life is so COOL looking. The countries in Epcot are just beautiful. I don't think there is a more beautiful park than EPCOT during the Flower festival. Also, for the MK, there is nothing like entering the park and looking straight ahead at the castle. If gives me chills. I think each park has at least one thing that is really special about it or that one thing that really stands out.

The last two times I visited WDW, I didn't care for EPCOT. The last time we went (the first with our kids) we didn't even plan on going there. It turned out that my five year old loved it! You never know, I guess!! We went once during the day and once for the fireworks, and will make it a regular part of our Disney trips from now on!!

I agree with noseybuddy, I used to not care that much about EPCOT, but then DH and I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn and really discovered the countries. Especially nice at Christmas when MK closes early. I now just LOVE walking around World Showcase. I get goose bumps entering MK and MGM has TOT and RNR. My families favorites. I haven't spent allot of time at AK, but I intend to remedy that in July. Each park is so different and special, but I can understand how EPCOT can "hit" you that way. I think it's a place that you have to put time in to appreciate the little things that make it special. At least that's what I discovered.

When I was a teenager living in New Jersey, I was obsessed with the '64-65 New York World's Fair. I went there 16 times in the two summers it was open. Perhaps the World's Fair is why I like WDW so much. I feel like Epcot is a tribute to the NYWF, and it's the closest thing there is to my going back there.

Being DVC owners, we get to go often. Because of that, we have found that all the parks give us a little something different. At first, AK was not my favorite. But, one trip, we decided to really explore the trails and animals. It was the most magical trip ever. We had great interactions with different CMs, saw some great animal behavior and found things we didn't even know was offered there.

As for Epcot, we love this park. We always stay at the Beach Club or Boardwalk and spend a ton of time here. There are certain things I will not miss, i.e. Roland, Off Kilter, American Vybe. We tend to go to Epcot every day, at least for a little while. How else will Stephen get his daily dose of Kaki Gori?

MGM has it's own magic. WWTBAM, can you beat that? I love to see the architecture on NY street, the actors throughout the park, more great CM interactions, and, of course, Fantasmic. I remember being at MGM a week after 9/11. It was so empty, but the CMs were going out of their way to make our day magical. Even if we were the only person riding (this happened on TOT), they made sure we had a good time.

And, last but not least, MK. There's nothing like the magic of MK. But, it's probably the park we spend the least time in. We have no small children (our first grandchild will be born in December), so we don't do much in Fantasy Land. I was Cinderella's Surprise Celebration for the first time in March. Cute, but I'd rather watch Beauty and the Beast at MGM. After taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour, MK has added magic for me. It's cool to read the windows on Main Street and know some of the history of the names, or to really look at the walkways and buildings and foliage, or listen to the music as you walk from land to land and see/hear the changes.

WDW is magic to me, all of it.

My wife and I are going in May and we plan on 3 days at the parks. For alot of people, this is a rush thing, but we are planning on 2 days at MK and 1 at Epcot with a stop over to MGM one or 2 days for TOT and RNRC. MGM seems so small and not as fun, and AK still reminds me alot of our Roger Williams up here. Not that I don't like animals and such, and I know AK has rides and things, but for the money I spend for a day in the parks, I enjoy MK and Epcot more.
