What a great way to learn stuff about your kids :)

Kaylee is in there playing with her "guys", those little 2 inch plastic figures she loves so much, she's putting them in her dollhouse and pretending theyre a family. (Who knows they probably are lol)

Anyway, one of them is coming home apparently and the rest of them are so excited lol shes making a huge deal out of the one coming home, just like they do when dh comes home from work every day. :)

Then she started saying " Oh im SO PROUD OF YOU! Youve done such a great job on that picture" :) and on and on.

It just brings tears to my eyes. Happy ones of course. I just love that she is so positive :)

Cam wasnt like that as much. :(

So does anyone listen to their kids when the play?

I agree totally!

When Cameo was about 5 she was in the garage (dad was working on stuff) she had her Barbie sitting on the top of the ladder. She then made all of her Ken's climb the ladder, one by one to the top.. they then would ask Barbie to go out on a date or marry them.. Then the Ken's would DIVEBOMB off the top of the ladder.... you see Barbie was an independent girl who did not need Ken to take her anywhere! Ken was then sooo sad!

LIFE ACCORDING TO CAMEO!!!!

LOL!

I used to do that when my son was little. He was always so sweet with his little friends and with his "toy" friends, listening always touched my heart.

Funny you should ask that now. My DD's 9 and 7 were playing with their Brats dolls just the other day when I heard...."Well, here are the divorce papers and you need to sign them tonight" and the other says "Well, I just don't feel like signing them now.....(something about going to see their lawyer).

Now, we really don't have any divorces close in the family that they would know all this....BUT....MIL (DH's step and my "friend") and FIL are getting a divorce. I talk to "Linda" every night and assume that the kids really don't hear....but I guess I have to watch myself now. We don't want to tell the kids until it is totally done...they are going to be devasted when "gramma Linda" moves away to PA (also because she will be taking her new 7 kitties with her)

I used to do it all the time. I used to watch my nephew and he and my daughter would fight like cats and dogs. I would listen and whenever I heard things getting rough I would try and distract them somehow.
I wasn't always able to be within listening range, but it worked when I was.

DH and I were just listening to DS3 last night. He had all of his dinosaurs spread out and was "acting" out the Land Before Time Movie. I love to eavesdrop on them!! We use to do it with DS8 all the time too.
