Do you enjoy paella?

I'm a fan. A couple of years back, I was working in Puerto Rico for half the year.
Our office dinners were often at Triana Tapas & Flamenco in Old San Juan.

I enjoy it, but have a number of just so-so ones over the years. I was spoiled, as the first time I ever had it, it was cooked fresh by a friend’s parents who were from Spain.

Love it! I live only a few miles away from the best Spanish/Portuguese restaurants in the US. I usually get mariscada instead, though. We have friends who bring a big paella set up to Red Bulls games when tailgating.

Yes! Love carefully prepared shellfish either over rice in Paella or over pasta in Frutti di Mare, also Pasta with Clam Sauce, Scampi usually over rice, and Calamari fried or Octopus just grilled, even a nice plate of Mussels in Tomato Sauce. We've been enjoying our time back next to the ocean for access to the freshest seafood, fish is outstanding too.

Nothing worse than poorly done shellfish though, then it is just a plate of bland rubber bands, ick, so if the first try was a bad dish I totally get why some people avoid it.

It’s OK, but it’s far from my favorite dish.

Paella story. About 30 years ago an aunt contributed a paella recipe to a church fundraiser cookbook. My mother asked her about the recipe and my aunt replied “I don’t make it, I just copied it from another cookbook and submitted it.”
