I LOVE putting jigsaw puzzles together!! Trouble is that once I start one I become obsessed with it and I find it hard to stop and leave it alone for awhile. I've been known to stay up till all hours working on a puzzle. And nobody better touch it when I'm away from it! My kids know this and it's always been a joke in the family. Oh, look out, Mom's doing another puzzle! Keep away! Don't breathe on it!

I especially like the 1,000-1,500 piece puzzles and I'm particular about the puzzle itself. It must be of fairly good quality and have a scene that I find interesting. In the winter, I love doing winter scenes and in the summer I must do summer type pictures. I can't seem to get into the shape puzzles or the ones that have a design that looks near impossible to put together. That would drive me crazy.

Anyone else a puzzle nut?

My grandfather loves puzzles so we go and do a bit with him to spend time with him. It is amazing what he will tell you about his life when he is doing a puzzle

I'm like you, once I start a puzzle I become obsessed and just have to finish it. I haven't done a puzzle in quite a while, though.

I am nuts, crazy for puzzles! I have so many, and I buy new ones all the time. I have had to ban myself from puzzles until May, that is when I graduate from Grad school...I HAVE to get good grades! I will start a puzzle and work on it for hours. They must have at least 1000 pieces. I love them.....

The 1,000 piece puzzle I bought yesterday, a snowman with birds in a snowy forest, is beckoning to me. I'm trying hard to ignore it because I know once I open the box, everything else will cease to exist! I'm going to get some more stuff done around the house, then I'll be free to devote all my attention to the puzzle. Looks like I'll be sending someone out to get pizza. No cooking tonight!! :teeth:

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I am obsessive-complusive where jigsaw puzzles are concerned.

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. :teeth:

My brother gave me a 1000 pc Tigger photo-mosaic puzzle for my birthday. Now, I can usually finish a 1000 pc puzzle in about a week. That stupid Tigger puzzle took more than a month! Sure was satisfying to put that last piece in, though!

I do a 1000 or so piece puzzle every few weeks then I cover them in a puzzle preserver to hold them together, frame them, and hang them up like "artwork" . I usually do island beach scenes or palm trees and they do look good, not tacky. The puzzle preserver is like a clear "glue" that you paint over the entire puzzle when finished and when it dries, it keeps it together. You can find it in Walmart or Kmart or stores like that. :flower:

I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles as well, but my favorite kinds are the online kinds. I enjoy doing the Daily Jigsaws on Shockwave.com and even some of the other online gaming sites!!! :teeth: Great way to pass the time!!!!! :goodvibes

I LOVE jigsaw puzzles, the harder the better ;) I don't do many scenes, but I did do a lovely Thomas Kinkade cottage, that my best friend bought me for my birthday.:lovestruc
I really love the Wasgij series, I'm having another four for Christmas:banana: no guesses what I'll be doing in the holidays!
I have also done a lot of the photo mosaic puzzles, which are harder than most as the pictures are so tiny. I've just finished a Star shaped Christmas jigsaw which was really pretty :) .

jigzone.com

you can sign up for the daily email puzzle or you can just do them online. I love them but then they never got any new puzzles and after a year i was repeating them...

Don't love them.....just have a sick addiction to them. They can call me from across the room and I tell myself "I will just take a look at it"...and then I can't turn my eyes away!! I will sit there....even missing meals and television shows....until I find that illusive piece! It's frightening to me....
