Do you eat at TS places becuase of the Food or the Atmosphere?

When picking where to eat do either of these influence your decision where you eat? For me both do. Obviously i'm going to a charecter buffet for the atmosphere and interaction and know full well the food isn't going to be the top of the line. But when i'm going to a higher priced TS place the food had best meet my expectations. I don't want to feel that the steak at say the Kona Cafe was the same as at Yachtman's or Lecellier. Are there other people out there who don't mind spending the money knowing ahead of time the food won't be very good , but they will still have a good time?

Have to say that both the food and the atmosphere at the "Signature" restaurants have always (well--nearly almost always) met my expectations.

I have never eatten at a signature place but I have to say both..Now there is a place or two where the food doesnt matter that much to me I just love the ambience like St Angel Inn and Sci Fi. Im really not a picky eatter anyway..I love trying new places and each trip we try 1 or 2 more new places.. I can honestly say there has only been one place that I wont go back to and that Capt Jacks in DTD..

yeah, both... depends on the restaurant. CRT... definitely the atmosphere Ohana both, Narcoossees both, LeCellier food, I think all the character meals are for the atmospere really...we've been to several restaurants but have so many to go. yummm yachtsman-food...

My first thought was definitely the food. Then I realized I do have 1 ADR booked for our next trip thats booked based on atmosphere. We are finally going to try California Grill for Wishes. I'm not so sure that I will like the food, but I have to try this once.

Also, we first tried ESPN based on the atmosphere, but quickly found out we like the food and now return for both.

I think the rest are based on food.

If you're not expecting good food than you should be ok.
I agree with everyone that it's a little bit of both. But I would definatley lean towards food. San Angel Inn has a great atmosphere but it's not worth it for the crummy food.

For me it's both, but I lean more towards the food. The atmosphere could be great, but if I don't like the food, there's no point in me returning.

We ate at California Grill a few years ago and I loved the view and everyone was nice, but we didn't care for the food (except I loved the chocolate souffle). I just don't want to spend that kind of money again for a *only* good view and nice people. Food counts for a lot...and if the atmosphere is good, that's a nice bonus for us.

I lean more towards atmosphere, unless the food is awful, which it never has been for us. I love Sci Fi, San Angel and Coral Reef. Even if the food is good, if the atmosphere is pretty mundane, I usually skip it. Le Cellier might be an example for me of a place that I think has good food, but bland atmosphere, so it's not as interesting for me to visit. I can get good food at most of the restaurants in our NYC neighborhood.

I was going to say atmosphere, but I quickly realized, it's really food first.

I'm a very picky, traditional American food kind of person - so I won't spend money on places with exotic menus. I go where I know there's something on the menu I can order without being scared.

And at that point, I realize it probably won't be the best burger in the world, but it will be OK, and then I concentrate on the atmosphere.

We choose our TS restaurants because of the food. If the atmosphere is good that is only a bonus, like Biergarten..bonus..wonderful food and great show, outstanding castmembers.

Those are for both food and atmosphere, for purely the love of the food, I think I will devour Le Cellier if I can get a coveted 5pm res
