The DLH breakfasts are going to be really filling and I'm sure that if we have a late breakfast and then an early dinner then we won't need a lunch. This will obviously save loads of money but seriously cuts down on the dining opportunities for all the restaurants I want to visit, LOL! What do you guys do?

We always eat as you said, fill up on breakfast then have a good table service dinner. We find that more than enough food but we end up not venturing into new restaurants much :rolleyes1

We usually have one table service meal a day so find that with breakfast that's plenty for us. If our table service meal is in the evening my DDs can't really last so they normally have something from a counter service for lunchtime (reverse if our main meal is at lunchtime) - sometimes I have something too but I don't really need it IYKWIM!

yep, with a DLH breakfast/brunch inside us we don't need anything to eat until dinner. You can still try new restaurants though, especially if you have 5 days :).

We always have 3 meals a day but that's mostly because we want to revisit the restaurants of previous trips AND discover new ones. For July we've got Annette's, Café Mickey and Cowboy Cookout planned for lunch and Inventions, Walt's Restaurant and Plaza Gardens for dinner. So , lots of food and I'm going to have gained way to many pounds by the time I come home. :rotfl2:

Yet in July we will be at breakfast at 7/7.30 AM latest and be back in bed at midnight or something around so I do expect us to eat and drink a lot since we'll need the energy. And ofcourse because these are just very long days. I think it's different from when going in the winter or inbetween season and the park closes at 20 or earlier (well maybe not this year but it did previous years), your days aren't so long yet we did still have a counterservice meal each day.

My boyfriend eats quite alot so he did really need this. And to be honest I did start to feel a bit peckish to about an hour before dinnertime so I think if we didn't have those countermeals in between, we'd have been starving by the time it was time for dinner. :rolleyes1

Anywhere else I would just play it by ear and see how we felt on the day but I need to get those reservations done or I panic!

Don't panic ;) You can't reserve anything until 60 days before so you have loads of time. Also you are going in a very low period (if I've calculated correctly) so it is not going to be full whereever you are looking at eating :)

And in answer to the first question...I don't eat 3 meals a day anywhere even if it's AL so I wouldn't at DLP. I'd be doing a late breakfast and then dinner :goodvibes

We have always eaten 3 meals a day but tend to have an early breakfast. This time we have DLH breakfast for the first time so I will let you know when we get back how hungry we are later in the day. :goodvibes

We planned on doing breakfast and one meal last year, but by 11am after eating our 7am breakfast we realised that wasnt going to work!

This year I have just planned for three meals a day.

We always Eat 3 meals a day as we can't eat a big breakfast and even if we did we arent fussed on continental breakfasts.

If your one of the ppl who asked about eating breakfast at DLG but not staying here bear in mind ge cost of the breakfast is the same if not more than a counter meal so you don save anything.

We have 2, we stock up at breakfast and then have a big evening meal. I take snacks for during the day mainly for our 3 year old.
Although this time we are having our cafe mickey meal at lunch time so we prob wont eat too much at breakfast and then will prob get an eos meal later in day

We are just back and only had 2 meals a day, breakfast & dinner. We drive so can take extra snacks & drinks with us:goodvibes

Most days last week we were having two meals a day and then a smaller snack of some kind. We were normally eating breakfast about 9 and could then get around to 4.30/5.00 with no problems but when dinner was later we had a small snack in between. :goodvibes

We are just back and as it turned out we only ate two meals each day and then had a few snacks we had brought with us or shared an EOS between the two of us.

We always end up having 3 meals a day. I dont eat breakfast except when I'm away and then I eat loads but find it nearly makes me hungrier! We would have a counter service for lunch and depending on the form have a big dinner somewhere between 7 and 9pm. We snuck out lunch from breakfast but found we would munch this while standing in the queues and it didnt fill us up so we just go and sit down for lunch now.

For our next trip we will be on a thrifty budget so it will be sambos from Casino (maybe with a splurge at EOS one day!) and at least one dinner at McDonalds just because out visits are regular and it shouldnt have to cost as much (this is where DLP becomes habit as opposed to a treat!). Our lunch for DDs birthday in November shed some serious light on the difference in food costs.. Auberge €85 for me and DD and Maccies was €10.10 for DH and DS. Still its nice to try all the restaurants.

This is a tricky one! When I went with DH in June & September, we ate a good breakfast then snacked during the day and ate properly again in the evening.

However, that was was in the warm weather! :goodvibes When I went in May (which was absurdly cold!) with my Mum and November with my MIL we ate 3 times a day! We also fitted in a visit to Salon Mickey on top of that!! Partly the need for warmth, the hot chocolate was so yummy, and partly I like to think that the we burned off more calories trying to keep warm :rotfl2:

I am planning 3 meals a day for our next November trip, how else would I fit in all the restaurants on my to do list...?!! ;)
