Do you drive a SUV, Car, Mini-van?

I drive an SUV. '97 Explorer with 126,000+ miles on it. Yeah, gas sucks, but I'm at school so I only drive it every few weekends, and when I'm home for breaks. I'm definitely dreading this summer (not sure if the money I'll spend getting to a job would even make it worth it to work  ), but I love my SUV. I love being higher off the ground, and being able to see. The way the roads around here are, there are roads that regular cars just can't go on, because they're in such bad shape, but my SUV can. And it's awesome in the winter on dad's mountain driveway

We have two SUV's. DH drives a Dodge Durango. I just got a Nissan Armanda. Both are V8's and yes they drink gas. DH will probably trade his in for a car in about a year. I always have the kids with me carpooling around town so we need to have at least one full size vehicle that holds seven people.

I drive a car. I am not a fan of SUV's and mini-vans for many reasons. The only way I'd ever drive an SUV is if I lived somewhere that got a lot of snow. The only reason I'd ever drive a mini-van is if I had more than 3 kids. I don't anticipate either of those situations happening.

We both drive cars that are great on gas. I can't stand the thought of spending more than $25.00 at the pump and I balk at that. I don't see us changing in the near future, when we have a couple of kids maybe but without one even on the way our vehicles need more miles to the gallon than either of us are woried about looks.

Mini-van for me (Dodge Grand Caravan Sport) and DH drive a Ford F-150 king cab.

I drive a Nisson Quest and DH drives a Ford Ranger.

I LOVE my Mazda Mini-van! Looks great, goes great in snow and is very good on gas ! The best part, my two kids get to hang their heads out the back windows of the sliding doors! :thumbsup2

SUV for me (GMC Envoy) and dh drives a sedan (mercedes). I really don't like my SUV anymore. As soon as I can I'm trading it for a smaller SUV (one w/o the 3rd row seat). I admit it comes in handy every now and then but not that often. My dsis just went from a SUV (Grand Cherokee) to a Lexus sedan and she loves it, of course it makes a difference that her kids are grown.

I drive a car, DH drives a 4-door pick up. Next year I'm planning to get a minivan.

I drive a SUV and I love it! I don't think I could ever go back to driving a car. When I ride in Dh's car, I feel like I am sitting so low. I will stick with my SuV.

We have a Lincoln Navigator that we use for everyday driving that we love. It fits our 3 very large dogs. We'll probably always have one SUV just because it fits all of us even with the higher gas costs.

I drive an SUV and will hopefully be buying another in the fall. If I can't have an SUV, I want a Chrysler 300 with a Hemi!

2005 Chrysler Town and Country mini van with the stow and go seating.. Love it!

Also loved my '94 Olds Silhouette mini van before that old lady hit the gas instead of the brake and totaled my van out..

I'm always hauling stuff to the lake; "curbside shopping"; picking up furniture and things at garage sales; and I HATE feeling like I'm sitting on the ground in a regular car..

I bought an '06 Vibe (considered a small hatchback wagon) 6 months ago. I got 37 miles to the gallon when I had it on the highway. Our other cars are a 97 Odyssey and a 96 Explorer, and I was beginning not to feel safe on the highway at night - I'm often on some pretty deserted roads that don't even have cell service.

The back seats fold down so I thought it would handle the storage I needed - WRONG! It only has 2000 miles on it in six months (and that's with 1000 miles from one trip).

I still have my '97 Odyssey and end up having to use it all of the time. I love the mileage and how the Vibe drives - plus it is SO cute. But it holds nothing.

With the two back seats down I can get in a big suitcase and the dog carrier. My dad hates to ride in it - says it's too small for him (6' and 250 pounds plus he's 85 years old) and too hard to get in and out of.

If it's me, my sister, and my dad there is no room for our luggage or the dog carrier. We would each have to use one small duffel bag and not put the dog in a carrier.

My dad has a 96 Explorer - I don't like to take it on the highway as he has not maintained it very well - although it only has 50,000 miles on it. I think I may have to upgrade him to a van.

We have a Chevy Venture mini-van and a GMC Envoy SUV (DH drives the mini-van and I drive the truck.)

I have sworn off FWD vehicles, so I will probably be buying trucks and SUVs for a while, at least until some nice RWD family-friendly cars make it down to the lower priced models. :teeth:

I drive a compact SUV (Honda CRV) and DH drives a car (Honda Accord coupe). Neither are bad on gas mileage, which is good since we tend to drive a lot between commuting and errands. I love SUV’s because I feel much safer and more in control of my car sitting up higher.
